[PATCH] Adjust handle_hpet_broadcast to let it run better before broadcast exit
Adjust handle_hpet_broadcast to let it run better before broadcast exit Since hpet_broadcast_exit has been moved after interrupt enabled in C3 case, so adjust the handler of hpet broadcast to adapt to this. Meanwhile, remove a freqently executed debug print line to simplify the serial output. Signed-off-by: Wei Gang <gang.wei@intel.com> diff -r 63317b6c3eab xen/arch/x86/hpet.c ---

[PATCH 07/12] cpufreq: allocate CPU masks dynamically
struct cpufreq_policy, including a cpumask_t member, gets copied in cpufreq_limit_change(), cpufreq_add_cpu(), set_cpufreq_gov(), and set_cpufreq_para(). Make the member a cpumask_var_t, thus reducing the amount of data needing copying (particularly with large NR_CPUS). Get constants of undefined types in IR
Hello all, I would like to obtain a constant that is initialized with a value of type cpu_set_t, a type which is defined by Pthreads. The problem is that a variable of this type cannot be cast to an int value, even in C source code. I tried get methods from Constant or ConstantInt classes, but with no result. How can I obtain such constant object in IR? Thank you, Iulia -------------- next

[PATCH 0/5] vringh
This introduces vringh, which are generic accessors for virtio rings (host side). There's a host-side implementation in vhost, but it assumes that the rings are in userspace, and is tied to the vhost implementation. I have patches to adapt it to use vringh, but I'm pushing this in the next merge window for Sjur, who has CAIF patches which need it. This also includes a test program in

[PATCH v3 1/2] virtio: stop using legacy struct vring in kernel
struct vring (in the uapi directory) and supporting APIs are kept around to solely avoid breaking old userspace builds. It's not actually part of the UAPI - it was kept in the UAPI header by mistake, and using it in kernel isn't necessary and prevents us from making changes safely. In particular, the APIs actually assume the legacy layout. Add an internal kernel-only struct vring, add

vcpupin vs taskset performance difference
Hi all, I am trying to run some performance tests using libvirt 1.2.17. For these tests it is necessary to set a specific affinity for the VCPUs of a running VM. The problem is, that I noticed a significant performance drop in my metrics when using 'vcpupin' from the virsh console instead of running 'taskset' natively. Specifically the methods I am comparing are 1.

Xen-4.0.0 RC6 Test Report. Xen: #21022 & Dom0: #eb739c...
Hi All, Here is the test report for Xen-4.0.0-rc6(Xen C/S 21022). Our testing covers following features, like VT-x/VT-x2, VT-d, SR-IOV, Power Management, RAS, and TXT. There are 2 new RAS bugs exposed in this testing compared with RC5 testing. 2 bugs are fixed. VT-d/SR-IOV and TXT can work without major bug. Most bugs are in RAS side. Dom0 S3 cannot work on Gulftown-HEDT platform. We use latest

libasan bug: pthread_create never returns
Hi all, We observed that under certain circumstances pthread_create() (libasan implemention) does not return. The conditions are the following: - address sanitizer enabled - main and child thread run on the same CPU (affinity) - real-time scheduling policy for both threads - different scheduling priority values (this includes the case of setting a real-time policy for one of the threads and
