[PATCH RFC v1 10/18] x86/hyperv: implement and use hv_smp_prepare_cpus

(or we could've just...

[PATCH 0/7] (Re-)introducing pvops for x86_64 - Consolidation part
Hi folks, Here is the result of the latest work on the pvops front, after the x86 arch merge. From the functionality point of view, almost nothing was changed, except for proper vsmp support - which was discussed, but not implemented before - and the introduction of smp_ops in x86_64, which eased the merging of the smp header. Speaking of the merge, a significant part (although not majority) of

Per-cpu patches on top of PDA stuff...
Hi Jeremy, all, Sorry this took so long, spent last week in Japan at OSDL conf then netconf. After several false starts, I ended up with a very simple implementation, which clashes significantly with your work since then 8(. I've pushed the patches anyway, but it's going to be significant work for me to re-merge them, so I wanted your feedback first. The first patch simply changes

[PATCH 0 of 4] Prune outdated/impossible preprocessor symbols, and update VIOAPIC emulation
Patch 1 removes CONFIG_SMP Patch 2 removes separate smp_{,r,w}mb()s as a result of patch 1 Patch 4 removes __ia64__ defines from the x86 arch tree Patch 3 is related to patch 4 and changes the VIOAPIC to emulate version 0x20 as a performance gain. It preceeds Patch 4 so as to be more clear about the functional change. Signed-off-by: Andrew Cooper <andrew.cooper3@citrix.com>

[RFC PATCH] Exporting ACPI Pxx/Cxx states to other kernel subsystems (v1).
Hello, The following patches are a solution to a problem we have encountered when using the Xen hypervisor: - Need Pxx/Cxx states to save on power consumption when using Xen (we do want those datacenters to consume less power!), - Also need to figure out the Turbo mode so that the scheduler can properly boost a core for CPU bound guests. In essence the Xen hypervisor requires that

[patch 00/28]xen: Xen implementation for paravirt_ops
Hi Andi, This series of patches implements the Xen paravirt-ops interface. It applies to 2.6.21-git13 + patches-2.6.21-git7-070507-1.tar.gz (I think "unwinder" is the only patch which doesn't apply to git13, and the sched-clock patches are the only ones which this series actually needs). Changes since the last posting: - More netfront review and cleanup - Added ability to

[patch 00/33] xen: Xen paravirt_ops implementation
Hi, This is the Xen implementation for the paravirt_ops interface. The series is based on 2.6.22-rc1-mm1, and I think its ready to be cooked in -mm with a view to being merged in 2.6.23. The first part of the series is some small changes to the core kernel. Apart from the new code added in "Allocate and free vmalloc areas" (posted many times before), they are simply a few one-liners
