network query
...c
at the moment. What I would like to do, is have PC1 as mine pc, PC2 for the wife and PC3 for our
kid.
With the above setup, would it be possible for each of the computers (pc1,pc2,pc3) to have their
host name be visible on the irc server. For example, at the moment, I have this:
Addy: genesis@cpc2-colc3-3-0-cust131.colc.cable.ntl.com
and I would like to have it, using the above setup:
Addy: genesis@pulse.kevinsworld.com
Anyone able to help me out?

Query on permissions
...ter. I have more than one cluster,
so each head node has a copy of the "master image" (for the compute
nodes in its cluster). I want to make sure that all the master images
are identical [otherwise our software won't work...].
I am using a command like...
rsync -av --delete compute cpc2:/opt1/systemimager/images/compute
Based on the documentation, I expect the all the files and directories
to be identical between the local copy and the remote one. What I find
is that permissions are not set if the file is not copied.
For example, on one system...
ls -ld /opt1/systemimager/image...
