Resuming the discussion of establishing an LLVM code of conduct
Greetings all,
This has come up a few times, and I would like to resume the effort to
establish an LLVM code of conduct.
First and foremost, many thanks to Philip Reames who sat down with me
several months ago and worked through a number of suggestions that I've
tried to incorporate into an updated patch with the draft text:

I think his updates plus a few

Hi Chris,
I think the swift code is simple, and albeit over-specifying, good
enough for most purposes. In comparison to the current propos...

establishing a Code of Conduct for R
Dear Colleagues/Developers/R enthusiasts,
Would it be possible to develop a code of conduct (CoC) document for
R lists, CRAN submissions that all developers/maintainers to follow?
This may help all of us to better communicate and move forward together.
There is a similar effort from Python community, here are the links:

Those CC&Rs may very well be legally void and unenforceable.
Some years ago, Congress passed legislation which affirms the right
of individuals to install over-the-air television antennas,
satellite-TV antennas, and "fixed wireless" antennas, in areas of

permutation-based FDR
Hola a todos,
Tengo un pequeño problemilla...
Tengo unas 9000 variables que he contrastado con 1 en concreto con el test
de wilcoxon. He calculado el p-valor, y queria corregirlo con el
permutation-based FDR. He encontrado una funcion con R comp.fdr()que hace
esta corrección, pero te pide que le pongas las variables con las
observaciones y te hace el test (según he entendido). Yo solo quiero

[fdo] Code of Conduct questions
...luded in the fd.o Code of Conduct, or specific concerns you have
with it, we (myself, Keith and Tollef) would be happy to hear it.
The biggest divide is between 'enumerating badness' vs. 'Bill & Ted',
to be glib.
Enumerating badness (e.g. the fd.o CoC, based on the Contributor
Covenant) specifically elaborates _examples_ of unacceptable
behaviour, in order to make expectations clear. It sets very clear
bright lines on unacceptable behaviour, whilst allowing the scope to
be larger.
Bill & Ted (from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure) follows the film's
mantra of ...

Best Practices recommendation on x4200
Greetings all-
I have a new X4200 that I''m getting ready to deploy. It has four 146 GB SAS drives. I''d like to setup the box for maximum redundancy on the data stored on these drives. Unfortunately, it looks like ZFS boot/root aren''t really options at this time. The LSI Logic controller in this box only supports either a RAID0 array with all four disks, or a RAID 1
