debug output when ssh'ing a remote host
...whether this (see below) is a "bug" or a feature but as I cannot find any information on this neither in the INSTALL file nor via ./configure --help or somewhere else, I would like to ask you whether there is an answer to my question. Thanx a lot & kind regards - have a nice day, B. Courtin Question: --------- I lately updatet from OpenSSH 3.0.1p1 to OpenSSH 3.3p1 by compiling the sources on my solaris 2.8 box with gcc. Everything works fine exept one thing that sort of annoys me: When ssh'ing (or scp'ing) a host I get debug output even when I haven't specified the &quot...

Hi, I'm wondering whether it is possible to log the key fingerprint (or, the comment of the key) that was used for authentication) with the actual available openssh v3.4p1 on solaris? (with Solaris 8 / UsePrivilegeSeparation yes, if this might be relevant, it seems not) -Is it possible at all? How? -Is there a special sshd configuration option neccessary to use? -Does is only work with a

SSHD logging on Solaris 8?
...9;daemon', 'mail' etc should be used and with 'LogLevel' you can specify how verbosely sshd should be. Of course the syslog-daemon (syslogd) must be running and configured in the right way, e.g.: In /etc/syslog.conf add someting like - # added for ssh-daemon # 20020619 Bert Courtin auth.info;auth.debug /var/log/authlog - After configuring your syslogd, you'll have to stop and start it again or send a kill -HUP PID to the process to let your changes take effect. Please also refer to the manual pages for sshd as well as syslogd. Kind...

CIDR address/masklen matching support for permitopen="host:port" restrictions?

I wonder whether CIDR address/masklen matching will be implemented for permitopen="host:port" restrictions in sshd as well, that would be quite
