PORTING to IBM OS/390: select() always returning 0 in entropy.c
Hello, I'm attempting to port OpenSSH to IBM's S/390 mainframe. Things have gone well but I have come a little unstuck with the internal PRNG. Although the commands in ssh_prng_cmds are being executed the select() seems to be returning 0 and therefore the cose is assuming that the forked process has timed out. This could be a difference in the way that select is implemented on OS/390.

header brakage on sieve redirect ?
...om> Subject: RE: RF after redirecting them Cc: xxx <xxx at plus.pl>, "asd,\ \ Grzegorz " <xxxxx at nsn.com> Subject: RE: RF mail delivered locally by dovecot-lda is unaltered lack of space before second \ brakes the headers. I'm investigating if this isn't cosed by qmail-inject, but my first suspect is sieve. dovecot 2.0.13, sieve 0.3.3, dovecot-delivery is used as an exclusive lda for qmail Regards, Michal Grzedzicki

multivariate, hierarchical model
Sorry for the last email, sent too early. I have a small data set that has a hierarchical structure. It has both temporal (year, months) and spatial (treatment code and zone code). The following explains the data: WSZ_Code the water supply zone code (1 to 8) Treatment_Code the treatment plant which supplies each water supply zone (1 to 4)

interpretation of lm
Dear statistitians / R users, I was told to analyse the effects of the four factors using lm or update for aov. The following is the result from lm. As you can see that in the last few lines enclosed coefficients. 1)Does this mean I can write a formula, like yield =0.26 + 0.03*H + 1.48*T + 0.04*L + 0.004*C 2) in the two levels design, is there any difference between I use (-1, 1) to

OT: Replacing Venerable NAS
We're using Synology boxes with good results so far. They're built on Linux with ssh access and good support for things like rsync. They have options to backup to remote servers including Amazon too. CVS-HEAD breaks iconnect
I don't use my iconnect account much, and so I can't say precisely when outbound calls began to fail. But fail dramatically they do, and I'm not sure how to interpret what Asterisk is doing that their server is choking on. I get these messages in droves, even after I quickly hang up the call: -- Called 12195551212@iconnect Dec 1 02:37:56 WARNING[14865]: chan_sip.c:604

Help with UML editor?
A colleague, using CentOS 5 64-bit, installed by me, asked me for the following assistance: "The site I was trying to get to was http://www.eclipsedownload.com/. I downloaded the EclipseUML free version, but it's obviously not giving me the information I need. I have Java packages in Eclipse that I would like to display in a class diagram to show how they relate to one another.

Hi, I have preordered natural selection quite a while ago and it seems like it is getting to a playable state, so I wanted to know if anyone could help me (and many others :)), to get natural selection 2 to work with wine. I would gladly give you a console log, but i don't even know how i start steam-games from console :/. (when i try "wine Natural\ Selection\ 2.exe", it says that i

LDAP as password database - some problems / suggestions
Hi all, Using dovecot-1.2.6, I use dovecot with an LDAP backend for user authentication. In general this works ok, but I have some issues with this... In LDAP, I have users like this: dn:cn=user1,ou=users,dc=kapott,dc=org dn:cn=user2,ou=users,dc=kapott,dc=org etc. When authenticating users, I explicitely want to use the AUTH_BIND feature (and NOT lookup passwords). My problem: not ALL

OT: Replacing Venerable NAS
I have an original-label Infrant (now NetGear) ReadyNAS storage appliance that's been running for 8+ years. Except for replacing its power supply, it has not skipped a beat in all this time. I use it primarily as a backup device (via NFS) for a couple of Linux machines, (via SMB) for a couple of Windows PC's, and (via ftp) for web sites at my hosting provider. SMART+ reporting shows
