Can't see my Samba/Linux server on Win95 browser
...nd. I have a fresh installation of
Windows95b. Linux server and Win95 machine has fix IP address in same
subnet. Win95 machine has Workgroup = MYGROUP. Did I miss any configuration?
Should Samba/Linux server show up on Win95 browser or not by design?
Thanks a lot for any help.

Windows can't see Samba server in Network Neigborhood
I have a private IP network with one win98 PC and one Linux PC. The
windows machine can only access shares if I map a network drive and type
the path in explicitly. When I go to network neighborhood the Linux PC
does not show up. Both machines are in the same workgroup, so it should
be there. When I type the path directly into the address bar in network
neighborhood the program stops

Time-tracking software
I am in search of open-source software to track billable time for myself. A quick Google search did not find anything that is open-source but I am hoping that this group might know of such software? The platform is C7.

HVMAssist BIOS 32 GB Barrier
Hello,
I''m trying to run a HVM guest with a hard drive > 33.8 GB and it says it
works, but as soon as I start writing data to it I get hundreds of:
EXT3-fs error (device ide0(3,65)): ext3_new_block: Allocating block in
system zone - block = 8257846
and after a few minutes the hard drive corrupts itself (even superblock
lost)
Looking at the qemu-dm.log file I can see that no

Of coruse all of this did not have any effect on the GPO issue. It still
fails to sync.
In all cases it looks like Windows clients start two transactions all
the time. The first one is cancelled while the second one succeeds. This
might be a samba_dlz issue though:

Samba 4.2.14 Group Policy (GPO) sync error
Perhaps I am on the wrong track but I would like to share some
additional observations...
I quickly enabled DNS query logging:
# rndc querylog
Then run another gpupdate on the client.
During the Update I see lots of queries:
