LDA Sieve feature request
...al_script_path and override it using a per user script.
It would be nice if the per user scripts could be optionally run after (or before maybe?) the global script.
Another nice thing would be per-virtualdomain sieve scripts, but I think this is much more difficult.
What do you think?

LDA Sieve debugging

processed and sieve-global.scriptc is compiled, but the message is not
filed in the correct folder.
Is there a way to debug the script execution?

LDA sieve library

"It should compile without libcyrus, but then it does not implement the

configure.in bug?
Hello,
I have no autotools knowledge but I had to remove square brackets in
configure.in shipped with dovecot
AC_CONFIG_HEADERS([config.h])
and dovecot-sieve
AC_CONFIG_HEADERS([dsieve-config.h])
to be able to build them.

CDB Authentication database
Hello,
I'd be interested in seeing a CDB based backend for the userdb/passdb
lookups.
Is anyone working on this? Is there any documentation (other than the
wiki Design section and the code itself) on implementing database
backends?
thanks

High network latency on first packet
Hi all,
My setup is Debian testing dom0/domUs with a 2.6.32 pvops kernel from
Debian unstable. Hypervisor is 3.4.2 from Debian testing.
I use network- and vif- route with a default route in domU pointing to
the nic because multiple IPs with bridge would trigger port shutdown on
the switch (only one mac-address allowed per port). A subnet is routed
to the dom0, which then knows which addresses the

Horde/IMP setup
does anyone else use Horde/IMP that can share their servers.php setup? I
am getting weird behavior with IMP not showing my INBOX and sub folders,
etc. and i am not sure if its an IMP issue or Dovecot. It was giving me
problems yesterday, then it cleared up, but now its acting up again.
mail clients like Thunderbird work fine tho. I am seeing this in the

Hi,
I've just configured dovecot, but I'm having problems with exim4 as the

Is there a good HOW-TO on the net or something that I can refer to as a

Really need your help.
Thank you in advance.

FYI: timosieved
Just a heads up for all interested in using the Dovecot LDA with SIEVE
scripting:
I've started work on a proof-of-concept managesieve daemon, since the
only one available right now is dependent on Cyrus. It appears that the
only choice available for sites not using timsieved is the Ingo
component of Horde, which is way too fat to install by itself (plus it
uses FTP for a transport,

EICON DIVA - which linux kernel
Hi!
I've bought the EICON DIVA V-2BRI card an begin installation soon. Are
there any issues with certain kernels? E.g. the standard debian kernel
2.4.27-2-386 and kernel-image-2.6.8-3-686. Further current kernel
2.6.16.14 would be an option.
Thanks

Asterisk on EM64T
I'm looking to install Asterisk on an EM64T Dell 1850. PERC raid 1,
1GB ram, single 3Ghz Xeon.
Any red flags or anything I should know? Should I bother installing
a 64 bit OS? (gentoo-amd64)? Does asterisk work in 64 bit mode?
Should I turn hyper threading off? Etc?

valid_chroot_dirs question
Hello,
I've got a dovecot setup using PAM and real system users. In this setup
I also use pure-ftpd to give local users ftp access to their $HOMEs.
To have pure-ftpd chroot into the user home i replaced /home/user
with /home/user/./ in /etc/passwd. Unfortunately this breaks Dovecot
this way:
Oct 23 18:18:20 localhost dovecot: Invalid chroot directory
'/home/foo' (user foo) (see
