setting up model for existing database
I thought I sent this email (below) to the rails list, but can see no trace of it today! Apologies if it did indeed appear yesterday.... I have an existing database (Microsoft SQL). I know how to specify the connection to the database, but how can I generate or write a model that correpsonds to a table or tables that already exist in the database? Just by specifying things in a new model that match up to the database? Has anyone got a pertinent example? thanks! alex

3D plot with coordinates
HelloI have three x,y,z vectors (lets say each is set as ?rnorm(360)). So each one is having 360 elements each one correpsonding to angular coordinates (1 degree, 2 degrees, 3 degrees,.... 360 degrees) and I want to plot those on the xyz axes that have degress. Is there a function or library to look at R cran? The ideal will be that after plotting I will be able to rotate the shape. I would like

arranging pie charts in a matrix layout with row/col labels
Hi, I have a vector of data, that I group based on two factors via tapply. For each such grouping I would like to plot a pie chart. I can layout these pie charts in a matrix layout, correpsonding to the levels of the two factors. But I am getting stuck on how to label the rows and colums. My current approach looks like this: x <- data.frame(obs=sample(c('low', 'high'),100,

New Docs - One Look and a Partial Glance
Ok, same url as before: http://www.mktec.com/dev_www/wxruby-docs/ We aren''t at the second look yet (because i dont'' have arguments in the docs yet), but that is coming. This fixes the bug where classes after Image didn''t have any docs, and this fixes the issue where many methods weren''t documented (like the class Frame). Now the only methods that are not

3D plot with coordinates
Thanks a lot for the reply. After ?looking at different parts of the code today I was able to start with simple 2D polar plots as the attached pdf file. ?In case the attachment is not visible I used the plot.polar function to create something like that.https://vijaybarve.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/polarplot-05.png Now the idea now will be to put three of those (for X,Y,Z) in a 3d rotatable plane.

padawan seeks advice from jedi masters to create toggle box via ajax/rjs before slitting wrists with ruby powered light-saber.
I AM TRYING TO MAKE A DAMN TOGGLE BOX, BUT USING MY OWN GRAPHIC AND HAVING THE MOUSECLICK TRIGGER BOTH SWITCHING THE GRAPHIC (via AJAX) AND SAVING THE STATE IN THE DATABASE. I GOT IT ALL WORKING WITH NORMAL HTML GET CALLS TO THE SERVER, BUT I NEED IT TO BE AJAXIFIED SO THAT THE PAGE DOESN''T RELOAD. AND TO COMPLICATE MATTERS, IT HAS TO WORK IN A TABLE WITH AN ARBITRARY NUMBER OF ENTRIES,

Thanks Duncan for the replyI can not suppress anything these are radiation pattern measurements that are typically are taken at X,Y and Z planes. See an example here, where I want to plot the measurements for the red, green and blue planes (so the image below withouth the 3d green structure inside)https://www.researchgate.net/publication/258391165/figure/fig7/AS:322947316240401 at

Performing cross-bridge DNAT requires IP forwarding to be enabled
Okay, that is the error I get. I googled around, but no one seems to have my exact problem (and their solutions do not work for me.) I have a stock Debian 4.0 setup, apt-get Xen 3.0, etc ... Now, I setup a Dom1, and I run a webserver on Dom1 on port 80. In Xen, my networking is (network-script network-nat) (vlf-script vlf-nat) I setup iptables to -p tcp --dport 80 -d Dom0''s_ip_address

Creating vectors
I didn't really know what to post as the topic subject, but I have a vector, for instance (2,2,4,6,2,4,4,6,8,6) and I want to create another vector which is just numbers from 1 to 4 since there are only 4 unique numbers in my vector, so for instance 2 would be 1, 4 would be 2, 6 would be 3, and 8 would be 4, so my new vector would be (1,1,2,3,1,2,2,3,4,3). The vector I have has longer

write.table confused by rownames/colnames (PR#7941)
Full_Name: Axel Rasche Version: 2.1.0 OS: Win2000 Submission from: (NULL) (141.14.21.81) Hi, write.table does not accept the second statement with <col.names = NA, row.names = FALSE>. I do not see why this should not be possible. test = matrix(1:4, 2, 2, dimnames = list( c("a","b"), c("c","d") )) write.table(test, file = "test.txt",
