setting up model for existing database
I thought I sent this email (below) to the rails list, but can see no trace of it today! Apologies if it did indeed appear yesterday.... I have an existing database (Microsoft SQL). I know how to specify the connection to the database, but how can I generate or write a model that correpsonds to a table or tables that already exist in the database? Just by specifying things in a new model that

3D plot with coordinates
HelloI have three x,y,z vectors (lets say each is set as ?rnorm(360)). So each one is having 360 elements each one correpsonding to angular coordinates (1 degree, 2 degrees, 3 degrees,.... 360 degrees) and I want to plot those on the xyz axes that have degress. Is there a function or library to look at R cran? The ideal will be that after plotting I will be able to rotate the shape. I would like to thank you in advance for y...

arranging pie charts in a matrix layout with row/col labels
Hi, I have a vector of data, that I group based on two factors via tapply. For each such grouping I would like to plot a pie chart. I can layout these pie charts in a matrix layout, correpsonding to the levels of the two factors. But I am getting stuck on how to label the rows and colums. My current approach looks like this: x <- data.frame(obs=sample(c('low', 'high'),100, replace=TRUE), grp1=sample(1:10, 100, replace=TRUE), grp2=runif(100...

New Docs - One Look and a Partial Glance
...laration, and the lineno of the declaration for the cpp that is assigned to it. would this be helpful or just confusing in the rdoc to say, "App.cpp line 543"? - Provide actual link to cpp documentation on http://www.wxwidgets.org and correspond classes and methods to their actual correpsonding wxwidgets.org page (perhaps this would make the above idea go away?) - Add the ability for a developer to add comments to a third-party file which my script will read in and add to the documentation. Example (say a file, addondocs.txt): Class: App method: set_top_frame...

padawan seeks advice from jedi masters to create toggle box via ajax/rjs before slitting wrists with ruby powered light-saber.
I AM TRYING TO MAKE A DAMN TOGGLE BOX, BUT USING MY OWN GRAPHIC AND HAVING THE MOUSECLICK TRIGGER BOTH SWITCHING THE GRAPHIC (via AJAX) AND SAVING THE STATE IN THE DATABASE. I GOT IT ALL WORKING WITH NORMAL HTML GET CALLS TO THE SERVER, BUT I NEED IT TO BE AJAXIFIED SO THAT THE PAGE DOESN''T RELOAD. AND TO COMPLICATE MATTERS, IT HAS TO WORK IN A TABLE WITH AN ARBITRARY NUMBER OF ENTRIES,

Migrate OLD PDC on Centos5 to Centos6
...your smb.conf and Samba databases. - Turn of the old PDC. - Install the new OS. Use the same host name and IP to keep things simple. - Restore your /etc/openldap/slapd.conf (remove /etc/openldap/slapd.d/, if it exists). - Import the LDAP database. - Restore smb.conf and the Samba databases to the correpsonding directories (I /guess/ the locations did not change). - Start Samba - Check the log files for errors - Testing! Performing cross-bridge DNAT requires IP forwarding to be enabled
...p_address -j REDIRECT --to 10.0.0.1 where 10.0.0.1 iss the ip address of Dom1 (from the view of Dom0; i.e. on Dom0, if I do "wget 10.0.0.1", I get the webpage from Dom1) Then, dmesg gives me the error mentioned above. So I look around, and I see that according to /sbin;ifconfig the vif correpsonding to my Dom1 is actually 10.0.0.128 ... so I try that, but no tluck either. Suggestions? Creating vectors
...so my new vector would be (1,1,2,3,1,2,2,3,4,3). The vector I have has longer numbers, in the thousands, but it's the same principle I want. I have a vector of length 200 but I know there are only 160 unique numbers in there, so would like a new vector that just has numbers between 1 and 160 correpsonding to each unique element of the original vector, and is the same length as the original. Sorry if this is not very clear, Thanks very much for any help in advance. -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/Creating-vectors-tp2321440p2321440.html Sent from the R help mailing li...

I tried to find more information about what "chm" format actually is, however have found none. Best regards and thaks for any replies, Ales Ziberna
