XML for tc hierarchy representation
...t
any others are welcome.
I''m starting a project to automatically syncronize traffic shape rules
between servers and thought XML is the best way to represent tc hierarchy.
Tks in advance for any information.

Open all from one machine....
Hi all...
I have configure a Shorewall gateway to my little lan im my home.
The shorewall work fine here...
However, when I try to use Limewire, I can download nothing....
On fact, I can''t get any high connection on Limewire..
What can I do to make Limewire work properly behind a Shorewall
gateway????
May be I have to open all port (both tcp and udp), but how?
Thanks a lot...

the terms egress and ingress correctly? I see that the current ''big'' problem
is touching locally generated traffic. What I need to know is which version
of IMQ is most stable for kernel 2.6? Or even kernel2.4? Is it Devera''s?
McHardy''s? Correa''s? or Roy''s? Or should I just leave it alone? My apologies
if I got names wrong.
This is probably a long email just to ask that question, but I can''t seem to
find an answer from the list archives. I downloaded the whole 46 mb archive

...never got shout to "talk" to icecast2 on that FreeBSD.
It always complained about bad password (no matter what i put).
I checked for extra spaces and everything i could, i had no luck.
After i compiled the "old" icecast (from the ports) it all worked fine.

Thanks to Mike i now know that "shout isn't intended for icecast2 (and
doesn't work correctly even with 1.x, anyway)." I did not see that
on the how-to (maybe im blind).
Thanks for your kind words of wisdom.

New attributes on Samba 4
In my company we have in our 389-ds LDAP server schemas created by our group with our own attributes specifications, and we want to know if it is possible to create these attributes in the Samba4 AD and how to do it.

However, the same encrypted passwds work with the good old

BTW, i did check the mail list archives. They indicate how
to create the encrypted passwd, yet it did not work with icecast2,
it worked with icecast.

Your how-to helped me a lot (so did the comments of Mike and
Boink). However, maybe there should be a note on the how-to to
indicate people like me the issues mentioned on this
tread about the use of encrypted passwords.
Thanks a zillion!

No software from the ports is ever changed in the way you just
mentioned. that's totally against the point of the ports.

No offense was taken. But I want people to be sure to let me know if
they find any problems or errors with the docs. The docs are only as
good as the feedback given.
Best of luck.

I found that in places like ip_conntrack_core.c and ip_nat_core.c,
nfcache references have just being removed.
Tk in advance for any help.
Cheers...

imq contact
Hi there,
I''m trying to contact imq maintainers but there is no contact address in
www.linuximq.net. There is only a yahoo group but I don''t have a yahoo
account and it seems it doesn''t like me a lot (it refused to create a new
account).
Anyone knows an email address for any IMQ developer? Its about an IMQ patch
submission.

linking non-neighboring networks together?
...en online. However, in my
case, the private networks are split up. For example, I would like to
connect subnets such as:
10.30.0.0/16
172.23.0.0/16
10.90.50.0/24
192.168.3.0/24
How does this affect my tinc-up files? What subnet mask do I give the tinc
interface? Can this work?

Strange behavior deleting filters
Hi list, I''m playing with tc and found a strange behavior when I try to
delete filters. For example, this simple scenario:
tc qdisc add dev eth1 root handle 1: htb default 100
tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 128Kbit
tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:2 htb rate 258Kbit
tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:100 htb rate 32Kbit
tc filter add dev eth1 parent
