I use R 1.5.1 with Windows 2000.
I hope I've given enough information. Thanks a lot for your time.

: BIC for gls models
...timated using gls( ) function. I read in Pinheiro & Bates (2000) p84 that
BIC = -2logL + npar*log(N) (for the ML method), or
BIC = -2logLR + npar*log(N-p) (for the REML method)
but when I use any of these formulae I don't obtain the result given by R.
Thanks in advance for any help.

: performing marginal tests to glm objects
...ginal tests for effects in generalized linear models. Indeed, the anova function produces sequential tests and it doesn't have any "type" argument to specify that we would like marginal tests instead, as in the similar anova function for lme objects.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Polybench llvm's IR -fopenmp
...flag I get the expected IR in which I find a large number of basic blocks (e.g. for loop --> for.begin, for.end ...)
Is there a way to avoid the insertion of llvm.memcpy when I'm using the -fopenmp flag?
I've already tried -fno-builtin and -ffreestanding.
Thanks,
Best Regards,

PBIB datataset
...k design).
All the other datasets can be found somewhere or other in R.
However, I cannot locate PBIB, and it does not seem to
be mentioned in the latest edition of the R Full Reference
Manual.
I Have Been Good. I Have Searched The Arcives.
There was a similar query back on 16 July 2002 from E. Corda;
it seems this got no response (that I could find).
So: Is it available? If not, is there a particular reason
(e.g. copyright)?
If not available on CRAN, is there an alternative source?
With thanks,
Ted.

data files in R
Dear all,
I'm new in using R. I've downloaded nlme library in which data files, which
can be found in 'DATA' folder, have .rda extension. On the other side, data
files for the base software have .R extension. I succeeded in using .R data
files with R but not .rda data files. I would be thankful for any help.
