Turning off continuation prompt?

Without the "+" continuation prompts, it would be easy to do this by copy&paste with the mouse in one operation. With the "+" marks there, I have to do the copy&paste for each separate line. So is there a way to suppress the output of the "+" at the beginning of each continuation line? (The above is one of the smaller examples of this situat...

"send" marked text into notepad.exe (copy&paste)
Hi: Can somebody please enlighten me how far the cut&paste function in Wine has matured? Here's what I'm trying to do: Run notepad managed. (works OK) Run 16bit VB3 application managed (works OK) Mark text in VB3 application. Normal copy CTRL-C and CTRL-V into any *nix application like StarOffice or KDE editor or terminal works OK but... The VB3 application is able to "send" with CTRL-C CTRL-V to any text editor if it knows the title of the window where the text editor is. (At least under Winblows it works) This can be c...

How to generate a report with graphics and tables?
Hello R-Users, I have some data sets which change on a daily bases. So far I have imported these sets into R, done all my evaluations resulting in a couple of plots, charts and tables of numbers which I copy&pasted via clipboard into Powerpoint. The procedure is always the same and I wonder, whether there is no easier way for doing so. Is there some type of "report generator" available or some HowTo on this. Can anybody give me a hint on where to look for? Regards, Olaf B?rger

Reuse h extension?
I have 2 contexts, however both have the same h extension. Currently I am doing copy&paste for the h extension - is there a better way? Can I somehow reference a h extension, so I have to create/modify it only once? Thanks for any hint! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Compressing Maildir mails on delivery
Now supported by v2.0. Also as a patch to v1.2: http://dovecot.org/patches/1.2/zlib-compress.diff I'm not really sure if I should commit it to v1.2 code tree. Lua.c32 wiki page
Hi, I have been experimenting a bit with lua.c32 and I have created a small lua.c32 wiki page at: http://syslinux.zytor.com/wiki/index.php/Lua.c32 With my minimal knowledge about Lua (and the inconvenience of not being able to copy&paste or edit scripts) I discovered that the dmi module has 2 functions (supported, gettable) and a syslinux module with 1 function (run_command). Do we have some information available about these functions ? And what is planned for Lua in the future, I haven't seen this discussed here...

SSHA256 scheme
Hi again, I`m a bit confused how to store a SSHA256 password in the database and I can`t find any information in the wiki. Do I have to store the SHA256 hash and the salt separately (what would the password_query be like in this way) or just the final SSHA256 hash? Regards Patrick

Graphics on MacOSX
Ist there a possibility on MacOSX to import Graphics into MSOffice Applications and resize them there without decreased quality? When I import via copy&paste I get low quality bitmaps and via import pictures (pdf) it is all the same. In the Windows versions of R there is the convienient way to use metafile format which can easily be resized in ppt and word. What is the equivalent way on MacOSX? Thanks, Dirk.

samba on ubuntu 22 lts breaks after unattended-upgrade
Hello, this morning we had the unpleasant experience of two DCs breaking at the same time, no logins, no DNS resolution, any call to samba binaries fails with an error message similar to : libldbsamba.so.0 : ldb_msg_element_is_inaccessible (cannot copy&paste as I disabled network access to this server). We first thought we had a crashed AD structure. Reverting to a copy one of the DCs from 06:00 this morning worked, alls services available, then after 30 mins again similar problems (but logins continued to work this time). After a lot of...

[PATCH] Early request for comments: U2F authentication
...serauth_u2f() to use packet_put_int(0) (== registration) instead of packet_put_int(1) (== authentication). Sorry about that. See my question below. 3) You need to do this step only once: ssh into your server, touch your security key when prompted, and you?ll see a ssh-u2f key line, which you should copy&paste into the server?s ~/.ssh/authorized_keys for the corresponding user. 4) Recompile with packet_put_int(1). 5) ssh into your server, touch your security key when prompted, enjoy the additional security :). There are a couple of open questions: 1) Will you accept this patch (let?s ignore d...
