Graphics on MacOSX
Ist there a possibility on MacOSX to import Graphics into MSOffice
Applications and resize them there without decreased quality? When I import
via copy&paste I get low quality bitmaps and via import pictures (pdf) it is
all the same. In the Windows versions of R there is the convienient way to
use metafile format which can easily be resized in ppt and word. What is the
equivalent way on

[LLVMdev] Patch to lib/System/Interix

U grill me with all those questions :)
No, we cannot use VirtualAlloc function directly.
Since you're only interested in allocating memory in page sizes
For convienience I provide you with a link to Interix migration/porting
pages:

Look in chapter 9, although it is very thin on the subject of memory mapped
files.
It's getting late for me. I'll try to look on the subj...

Ferret Indexing
Does ferret only index, when you create, or udpate a record?
Is there a way to make it index prexisting records?
Thanks.

[LLVMdev] Register Class assignment for integer and pointer types
David, thanks for your immediate response.
Since iPTR is a reserved type for tablegen internal use, can you make a
further explanation?
On the other hand, it can be simply treated as a register class assignment
problem during register allocation.
Assume both pointer and integet have a 32 bit width. backend handles it
just as to i32. When it performs register allocation, it can retrieve from

Native ODBC in WinXP Mode
Has anyone here been able to get native ODBC MS SQL connection working in Wine while the Windows version is set to XP? I've been able to get it working as long as it's set to Win98, but that's a bit of a problem now.
I'm currently running an application that no longer works or is supported in Windows 98. The aplication starts fine in WinXP mode, except for the fact that it cannot

[LLVMdev] Register Class assignment for integer and pointer types
We also have this problem, and have added iPTR types to the back end. Our pointers are actually fat pointers, so this also requires tweaking some optimisations (for example, things like to turn GEPs with 64-bit offsets into pointer-sized offsets, but our pointers are larger than any integer type that we support...). Most of the changes are a bit ugly, and I'm loath to upstream them without

[LLVMdev] Register Class assignment for integer and pointer types
Hi,
In our version of LLVM, we've added different-sized iPTR* types, so we have an iPTR256 for our fat pointers. This causes some problems with constraints, because the way that TableGen resolves constraints is not expected to handle multiple pointer types. We've added a flag that can be set on a per-backend basis to turn this off.
Our problem is perhaps a bit different form yours,

zaptel PRI drivers
I have a quick question.
I know that running X on an asterisk server is not officially "supported",
however, I've never had any trouble with it until now (8 months, using wctdm
cards with fxo and fxs ports, IAX trunks, SIP phones, everything except a PRI
card). Now I just installed my first asterisk box that terminates a PRI, and
bam, HDLC errors up the wazoo if X is running, if its

Can the session be trusted for Username/password?
I understand that a session is server side, and not externally visible.
For this reason can it be used to store a User class (username/ hashed
password) safely?
Or do I need to check whats in the session against the user table every
time I access a controller?
Many thanks, P.

[LLVMdev] Register Class assignment for integer and pointer types
llvm code generator lowers both integer and pointer types into ixx(say,
i16, i32, i64, ...). This make senses for some optimizations.
However, integer registers and pointer registers is expilicitly
distinguished from each other for some architectures, like TriCore,
Blackfin, and our lab prototype dsp, which accelerates address computation
and memory access.
I have already read this mail thread:

Your opinions
I am a long-time statistician and SAS programmer
interested in learning R or S-Plus. I am intrigued by
being able to do statistical analysis in a more
interactive environment than I am used to in SAS, not
to mention using the much better and easier graphics
capabilities. In other words I am tired of having to
develop a whole SAS program just to read some data in,
do an ANOVA and a scatterplot.

Script.Alico.us Ajax.AutoCompleter with PHP Debugger DBG not working
I have a page (generated by PHP) that has an Ajax.AutoCompleter on
it. IF I run the page without running DBG (a PHP debugger) it works
fine. The autocomplete fires and fills in just as expected BUT when I
run it WITH the debugger it never displays. I THINK it has to do with
either cookies OR caching...

Get list of users in one call
Hello,
I am working on an external/iframe application and am looking for a good way
to display fb info (pic, name) for a set of users. Since I''m not an fbml
app, I can''t use any of the fb_ helpers to access this, and without
instanciating a user for each and making multiple calls, I don''t see a
convienient way of doing this.
I am new to facebooker, but have used

Hello all,
I''ve run into trouble attempting to replicate something in ajax that
worked when done with an iframe...

refreshed every few seconds... The 1st column of each row in the table
contains a link to a DHTML popup menu. I have the popup menu working in
the ajax version.
The problem is that in the ajax version

Legend
I have recently converted from S-Plus (Dec Alpha) to R (Mandrake 10.0). The
differences are subtle but in some cases not easily converted. My Splus
Command plotting deck was over 1200 lines and R has simplified this down to
900 lines so far. I do a lot of mapping with polygons and I am trying to
figure out how to increase the default size of the fill boxes in the legend
call. Splus had a
