Documentation update
Hi guys, this page needs to be updated: https://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailLocation/Maildir#Control_files (link was from here: https://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailLocation) Section 'Control files' is mentioning only 2 files but, in fact, Dovecot will store some additional files in CONTROL location: dovecot-uidvalidity dovecot-uidvalidity.* subscriptions (anything more?) Even more, page https://w...

Bug#404538: xen-3.0: not binNMU safe
I am seeing the same problem reported in #404538. Interestingly it only fails the first time which makes sense if you look at the code in debian/rules: ======================================================================== debian/control debian/rules.gen: $(CONTROL_FILES) if [ -f debian/control ] && [ -f debian/control.md5sum ] && [ -f debian/rules.gen ]; then \ if md5sum $^ | diff - debian/control.md5sum > /dev/null; then true; else \ $(MAKE) -f debian/rules debian/control-real; \...

getting Started w/icecast & liveice
Ok, I just about have this working - now I am able to get both my liveice stream to connect properly to icecast, but I no longer get a "no encoder" error on connecting to icecast w/winamp! However, nothing plays and I get a timeout pretty soon. How can I check and make sure that liveice is streaming my static files? here's the cfg - do I have the correct settings for streaming a

Dovecot keeps creating info files in mail directory instead of home
...k to http://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailLocation#indexfiles. So that points out that the index files are stored by default in the maildir. I'm having a hard time finding a similar statement for the control files, though (includes dovecot-uidvalidity* ?). http://wiki2.dovecot.org/MailLocation/Maildir#Control_files makes no mention of this. I assume this is also the case? Back to the home directory: so what sort of "state" is stored in the home directory exactly? Are all of the files that I see here in the maildir either control files or index files? -jf

Dovecot keeps creating info files in mail directory instead of home
I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a while now, and I'm really at a loss. My userdb is set up correctly to return home, and mail, and a test with 'doveadm user' verifies this: # doveadm user user at domain field value uid 1000 gid 1000 home /var/domain/user mail maildir:/var/mail/user at domain I've reloaded, restarted, stopped and started dovecot

icecast+liveice in normal user fail
I would like to use icecast and liveice as my normal account. If I do so, using xmms, I can access the relayed radios I have defined, but I cannot listen th the playlist liveice is broadcasting on /disk. XMMS tells me that the specified stream could not be found. If I launch icecast as root however, it works fine. I've searched through the logs and checked the file permissions but I

Liveice & Icecast...help
Yes, I downloaded the aumix utility and am using it now. Set line in to %50 then %25 and to record but still the same thing. I'm streaming from the line in on the sound card which is being fed from a portable radio nearby. I get the distortion whether I have the audio fed into 'line in' or not. Multiple Mountpoints Problem
Hello, I've searched far and wide on the net and the only thing I've come up with is that no one has ever had this problem. I'm running Icecast 1.3.12 and the latest liveice on a Slackware 8.1 box. The idea here is that I need to stream a live source in multiple bitrates. I am having a problem that is just about going to send me back to Shoutcast. I have set up two
