Function with large nested list
Hello list, I want to make a large rulebased algorithm, to provide decision support for drug prescriptions. I have defined the algorithm in a function, with a for loop and many if statements. The structure should be as follows: 1. Iterate over a list of drug names. For each drug: 2. Get some drug related data (external dataset). Row of a dataframe. 3. Check if adaptions should be made to

Camping Apache2 & FCGI - Internal Use
Hey Folks, I''m deploying a camping app on an internal Apache2 + FastCGI server at my office. Of course, on my Mac it works great, but I can''t get things to work with Apache and FCGI. I''ve followed the directions on why''s page documenting how to do this, but I''m getting the following error in my Apache error.log file: FastCGI: (dynamic) server

Early results of this UniSpacer-synovial ablation combination appear quite promising.
Brokers Move On ERMX! EntreMetrix Inc. (ERMX) $0.18 Heavy trading today as ERMX announced its launch of digital support tools for its portfolio companies. Brokers are getting ahead of this steady climb as they grab up large blocks of shares for there clients. Look at the numbers and get on ERMX Friday morning! Storage - posibilities?
Hi all. Currently I am administering a mail cluster in which messages are stored on software RAID shared with NFS. There are several NFS servers, every one of them exports a part of all mail files for a specific frontend with postfix. We are thinking about replacing these storage hosts with one solution, maybe a storage array with appropriate disk space and I/O capacity. What are pros and cons

[Off Topic, kind of] eMachine model T5254
Hi list, Best Buy currently has an eMachine on sale for less than $300.00 without monitor. I didn't see any recent complaints on www.consumeraffairs.com. I didn't take the time to do a thourgh search so may have missed some. Red Hat hardware list does not have one eMachine listed. I went to eMachine's home page and found the following: AMD Athlon? BE-2350 dual-core processor NVIDIA?

Random server reboot after update to CentOS 5.3
Dear ML We upgraded a Dell Poweredge PE 1950 Server the 8th of May. Since then the server rebooted 3 times without external cause (it is located in a server farm with redundant power supply etc.). Looking at the servers monitoring infrastructure with Dell's own OpenManage tools, I get strange errors: [root at servernew ~]# omreport system esmlog (....) Severity : Critical Date

[LLVMdev] Recent Commits by Tim Northover
Hi Gary, On 3 December 2013 22:01, Gary Fuehrer <gfuehrer at defiant-tech.com> wrote: > The subject of two of his commits dealt with substituting MOVW/MOVT pairs > for an LDR and a lit-pool. Isn't this what MachineConstantPool and > ARMConstantIslandPass was all about? Both are essential components to using lit-pools: the MachineConstantPool is just LLVM's underlying

Woolf's test, Odds ratio, stratification
Just a general question concerning the woolf test (package vcd), when we have stratified data (2x2 tables) and when the p.value of the woolf-test is below 0.05 then we assume that there is a heterogeneity and a common odds ratio cannot be computed? Does this mean that we have to try to add more stratification variables (stratify more) to make the woolf-test p.value insignificant? Also in the

[LLVMdev] Recent Commits by Tim Northover
Today I updated to trunk the toolchain for my work developing on Cortex-M4F. I was super excited to see three commits by Tim Northover that actually attempt to improve the machine code generation for my target, or any ARM target for that matter (as opposed to other important work on compiler correctness or architectural elegance or formatting comment white-space, I mean). Is he alone or are

Computer algebra in R - would that be an idea??
>From time to time people request symbolic computations beyond what D() and deriv() etc can provide. A brief look at the internet shows that there are many more or less developed computer algebra packages freely available. Therefore, I wondered if it would be an idea to try to 'integrate' one of these packages in R, which I guess can be done in more or less elegant ways... I do not know

ntpd under Xen Dom0 exhibits extremely high jitter/noise? runs stable/quiet under non-xen kernel.
On a selection of boxes, ntpd running in Xen Dom0 reproducibly exhibits extermely high noise/jitter. Switching back to -default, non-xen kernel ntpd runs with very low jitter/noise. Question -- how can I ''tame'' ntpd noise & jitter when running in Dom0? Is the problem a config issue, or a bug? Already reported this downstream; everybody''s "stumped".
