Roundcubemail problem with Dovecot
I am getting "Connection to storage server failed." in roundcubemail. On doing a google search If find: http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=473 Which puts the problem at dovecot. I did get a dovecot update back on 3-5 and that would match to my one roundcube mail user complaining and the delays I am seeing with thunderbird and outlook users. So with my setup, I am trying to

More on amavis/clam permission errors on Centos 6.3
I should probably find either the amavis or clam list(s) and take this there? Anyway, I have totally rebuilt my machine with clean installs. I have spent time carefully (I hope!) studying the amavis and clamav conf files before starting them and running the tests. Here is what I am getting: Jan 30 14:14:10 test1 postfix/pickup[6682]: DA8082A099B: uid=0 from=<root> Jan 30 14:14:10

Maybe working - Re: BIND DLZ zone transfers
Hi Robert, yes it does work. But the DLZ bind will not notify any slaves, when the repository changes. This can be painful, especially for longer TTL values. Regards, - lars. ...potential consultant we may be hiring has strongly recommended that we don''t go with our initial planning with asp.net but go with Ruby on Rails. We are not familiar with Ruby but understand their is a strong on-going interest with its development and use. Our concern is that if we need consulting services in the future, are their local consultants (Pittsburgh PA general region and neighboring states) to support us. Our implementation will involve an integration with our MS Dynamics Solomon SQL DB to populate information about our inventory on to our Web Site and a Future integration with M...

logwatch reporting
I just launched a new mailserver that is using dovecot. My previous mailserver used courier-mail. I am expecting better things with this new server, but I was use to some login information in logwatch that I am not seeing now. For example I would get: [IMAPd] Logout stats: ==================== User | Logouts | Downloaded | Mbox Size

problems with .forward
My old Centos 5.5 servers had a /root/.forward to send things like logwatch to this email account. It did not take any special configuration in sendmail for this to work. Now Centos 6.3 is using postfix (as we well know, and generally I am happy for this) and I have set up the /root/.forward as always, but it seems like postfix is ignoring it. I have restarted postfix with no difference in
