[LLVMdev] ConstantBuilder proposal
Here's a sketch of what I am proposing for ConstantBuilder.
I'd like feedback on naming conventions, doc comments, etc.

[LLVMdev] make check fails on latest SVN version
Hi,
I have run make check in llvm/test, and I got a FAIL.
Also first time I run the test I ran out of space on /tmp (which is a
1G sized tmpfs).
See output below. Please let me know if I should try any patches, etc.

This patch fixes up two problems with ArtProvider constants and fixes a
small typo.

Instruction selection problems due to SelectionDAGBuilder
Hello.
I'm having problems at instruction selection with my back end with the following
basic-block due to a vector add with immediate constant vector (obtained by vectorizing a
simple C program doing vector sum map):

%.splatinsert = insertelement <8 x i64> undef, i64 %i.07.unr, i32 0

[LLVMdev] Cleanup of constant sequence type construction
The methods for constructing constant sequencish types (struct, array, vector) aren't
consistent and we are missing a few useful convenience methods. I would like to change
the interfaces to each support four construction methods:
(a) With and without a type.
(b) With a vector or an array + size.

Cannot compile wine
Hello all,
I must point out before i start that i dont know any C or C++ or whatever
programming languages.
I am trying to install WINE-20040309 from source code onto my Mandrake 9.2
machine. I run wineinstall and it runs fine for a while, then comes up with:

[Bridge] Building 1.1 ?
Good day Folks!
Working on a bridging firewall/gateway and attempting to solve the age-old
mystery of whether I can get NAT to work across a gateway that has 2 NICs and
requires a bridge...
Upside is, I have the gateway working, bridging works (as does OpenVPN using
that bridge). But NAT does not in Fedora Core 4...

[LLVMdev] More careful treatment of floating point exceptions
Hi Sanjay,
Thanks, I saw this flag and it's definitely should be considered, but
it appeared to me to be static characteristic of target platform. I'm
not sure how appropriate it would be to change its value from a front-end.
It says "Has", while optional flag would rather say "Uses" meaning that
implementation cares about floating point exceptions.

Sergey

[LLVMdev] More careful treatment of floating point exceptions
Hi again,
It's partially done. My concern is that it won't be accepted as is
because of adding the flag parameter in a lot of places. I'd like to show
what it looks like (here, not on llvm-commit yet), maybe someone could
suggest a better way.
There are two sources of the flag: field of TargetOptions and function
attribute. I had to add the later one for InstCombine pass. Still

[LLVMdev] Constants.cpp:368: error: `INT8_MAX' undeclared (first use this function)

By manipulating a #define for G++ I've managed to compile int64_t type with

Now, I'm stopped by some to me unknown constants:

Patch to fix ArtProvider and ArtProvider sample
These patches better implement ArtProvider and add the demo for it. I
also expanded the bigdemo window a little bit. I really think we should
go larger but I suppose there might be some people at 800x600 still.
Note that creating your own art provider still doesn''t quite work
correctly. I didn''t have time to get into that.
The RubyConstants.i.patch file looks weird. Not

[LLVMdev] Bug in InsertElement constant propagation?
Does anybody else have an opinion on this issue? I'm planning to submit a patch which would add a new get method for ConstantDataVector taking an ArrayRef<Constant*> and use that in the few places in constant propagation where convertToFloat is used.
Let me know if you think there is a more obvious way to do it.
Right now the only way to create a ConstantDataVector are those method:
