Looking to move from VMware to Xen4CentOS. We currently run Centos7 as our servers main distort. All the documentation I?ve found on the Xen4CentOS only refers to Centos6. Do any of you know if it currently or is being developed to work with Centos7?

digikam and mp3 sound on RHEL
Hi All;
after years of running free Linux distros I've finally come to a place where I
must have solid stability for my work laptop so I've purchased RHEL
Workstation.
I like it well enough - however I'd like to install digikam and get my system
to play mp3's. I'm thinking I could get both of these from a centos
repository. What do you'all think?
If so, could

centos7 raid

hi all, is there any documentation out there about setting up a raid
array in centos7?
thanks
I found the docs obscure, but this:
http://binblog.info/2014/10/25/centos-7-on-md-raid-1/
may help. It is actually a simpler and better thought out method but
badly documented.

how to replace a raid drive with mdadm
Hi all
If we loose a drive in a raid 10 array (mdadm software raid) what are
the steps needed to correctly do the following:
- identify which physical drive it is
- replace the drive
- add the new drive to the array and force it to re-sync

Format big drives (4TB) in the installer?
Hi all;
I cross posted this to the fedora list since we use Fedora as a test bed
from time to time, however given this is a production server we'll
likely be running CentOS.

Vim scripting - cursor motion
I am working on my first vim script. The script is supposed to do some
find/replace on a file, then save the file with a new name and quit vim.
I will save the script in a file and then call it from a bash script
like this:
vim path-to-the-file -s path-to-my-script
Maybe I have not found the right resources. I can find/replace with
expressions that are similar to those I use manually, for

gpg decryption error from only 1 user
Hi all,
I am having an issue. We have a vm that has encrypted data
with gpg. The vm is centos 6.5 and it has multiple users. user1=bob
user2=kevin user3= postgres user4=root. Only postgres has access to the
file in which we keep the encrypted data. I as root will su - postgres,
cd that data dir, and use this command "gpg -d (file_name)" and it works
just fine. However

google cloud compute with PEM file
Hi all,
I am using the google cloud compute engine and we have a client
that does not want to share their ssh keys. So I have been attempting to
set up a PEM file for ssh access. Both the local server I used for
testing and the cloud vm are centos 6.
I created a user on the cloud box, ran "ssh-keygen -t rsa" and took the
defaults. I then copied the id_rsa.pub file to the local

I'm running KDE 3.5 on CentOS 5.4

I've tried going to the 'edit connections' and adding the key there as well

CPU Upgrade
Hi all;
I have a Dell 2900 with a single Quad core chip and an expansion slot for a
second Quad core chip.
I have CentOS 5.4 installed on the server now. If I add the second Quad core
chip do I need to change anything per the install? Do I have to re-install the
OS? Or will CentOS simply see the second chip once I reboot and just work?
Thanks in advance
