stability measures for heirarchical clustering
Dear R users,
I'm interested in measuring the stability of a heirarchical clustering, of
the overall clustering and finding sub clusters (from cutting the
heirarchical clustering at different levels) which demonstrate stability.
I saw some postings on the R help from a while back about bootstrapping for
clustering (using sample and generating a consesus tree with a web based
tool CONSENSE)

Considering port of SAS application to R
Hi there!
I am considering to port a SAS application to R and I would like to hear your opinion if you think this is possible and worthwhile. SAS is mainly used to do data management and then to do some aggregations and simple computations on the data and to output a modified data set. The main problem I see is the size of the data file. As I have no access to SAS yet I cannot give real details

Sipura g729 call quality to PSTN
If this has been covered before - I appologize.
We use some Sipura SPA-2000's with the g711 codec and all seems fine
(except for the occasional failure to register errors in my asterisk
logs - but I will save that for another post).
g711 call quality is on par with our Cisco 7960's. However, when
using the g729 codec, the call quality on the Sipura device goes
downhill on the PSTN side
