Polycom vs. Cisco IP Phones
...or phones it seems my best "enterprise" options are the Cisco and Polycom phones. I have some experiance with the Cisco 7940G, but the process of flashing the phone with the SIP firmware left a bad taste in my mouth (not to mention the added expense for the phone). What is the general consensis about the polycom IP phones? Are they good? Are they better than Cisco? What do I do for the receptionist's station? samba and large files (>2GB)
Hi, I'm running the 2.0.7 samba server on linux with kernel 2.2.16. I'm using an ext2 filesystem with the large file support patches. I seem to be having trouble copying files larger than 2 GB from/to an NT machine to/from my linux box. Does samba have a 2GB limit under Linux? If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks, Eric

problems using --ignore-existing and filter rules
...OavzH --filter="merge /.rsync/filter.dirs" --filter="merge /.rsync/filter.config" --delete-before --delete-excluded / viking:/ Now, with these details, I would love to hear if folks think that I am crazy to think that I should be able to do this with rsync, or if the consensis is that there indeed a bug which needs to be debugged and exterminated? (Now if only rsync offered a way to run commands on the remote server when certain files were updated...hehe). - Doug -- Douglas Wade Needham - KA8ZRT UN*X Consultant & UW/BSD kernel programmer Email: cinnion &...
