Routing multiple conntections to the same ISP
Hi, I have established two connections to the same ISP. After that ip route list showed this: 195.14.247.94 dev ppp0 proto kernel scope link src 81.173.141.207 195.14.247.94 dev ppp1 proto kernel scope link src 81.173.237.84 192.168.0.0/24 dev eth0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.0.1 default via 195.14.247.94 dev ppp0 I want 192.168.0.2 to connect to the internet by ppp1 and all

Asterisk chooses invalid outgoing interface (IAX2, virtual interfaces)
Hi, i have an asterisk box with two external ip addresses (say 1.2.3.4 on eth0 and 1.2.3.5 on eth0:1) and one "internal" vpn ip address (say 10.0.0.1 on tun0) The problem is: when a client conntects via iax to 1.2.3.4, the asterisk server responds on 1.2.3.5 and the packets are not accepted by the client. I can kinda fix this by using the bindaddr option, but then i can't

NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE after a while
Hello everybody, we have a simple file server running samba. (no ldap, etc). The samba version is 3.0.11 running on fedora core1. We access it from NT4 (TSE + Citrix), XP, Win9X and Linux. When we start smbd, all works fine, everybody can conntect to the file server to mount the shares without any problems. After a while, nobody can connect to the server, smbd always answer

Problem with large uids
Hi, I have two member server and both with Samba 4.6.7. I'm using winbind for NSS and PAM. One of the member server is exporting an NFS4 mount which the other member server is mounting. For users with an rid-mapped uid below some value everything works fine. If the uid is above this value the group permissions are not evaluated and I'm getting a permission denied if a folder or file is

slow speeds with Windows 10
I was transferring a file from a (slow) smbd server running on some NAS. The transfer speed is only 1MB/s but the NAS uses 100% CPU. Normally the NAS can handle 60MB/s download (from the NAS). Could it be that the connection uses encryption or something? What could be causing this slow speed? I have internet download speeds over this same connection surpassing 5MB/s. I cannot imagine why

Can this be done with NUT? (ordered shutdown, revisited)
Reference the repeater mode of the dummy-ups driver used in the way described by Steffen there is a characteristic which needs to be defined better. I could not find any notes on what the driver does in terms of shutdown. If as a result of LB you issue a upsdrvctl shutdown from a secondary server acting as a master for the repeated driver (which is pretending to run out of battery early) you

SIP native bridge
I'm desperate trying to understand the SIP native bridge. The Asterisk server get the client to bridge together, and everything is allright. But when a client hangs up, the second stay conntected forever. With any soft of hard we did get the same issue. Of course, disconnection works allright in any case with CAPI/CAPI, CAPI/SIP, CAPI/H.323, H.323-H.323, H.323/SIP, but not with SIP-SIP.

Plaintext_password returned NULL
Hi all, I am sharing a directory by using SAMBA Ver. 2.2.3a on a HP-UX 11.11 for MS XP-Clients. Allthough conntecting works fine, I get the follwing log entry everytime a client connects: [2003/12/30 10:11:02, 0] smbd/chgpasswd.c:(939) check_plaintext_password: getsmbpwnam returned NULL smb.conf looks as follows: # Global parameters [global] coding system = client code page = 850 code page directory = /etc/...

Can only see 1 SMB Server
I'm trying to run 2 SMB servers on my intranet (which also has a Win98 client). Both are accessable if I explicitly link to them. (ie: "NET USE" commands work just fine), but neither apear on a browse list if both of them are running. If only 1 is running, it appears just fine. I've mucked around with the "domain master" & "local master" parameters,

RE: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 7, Issue 323
I fear that list digest did not forward to me all the messages... buying cell phone adapters is quite unfeasible at this point, since the installation at hand uses 8 BRI for outgoing calls, and the customer negotiated very special rates for handling all the traffic through his voice carrier. Moreover, in italy you have 4 cell phone operators, and you should add a bunch of call phone adapters for

Forcing the session-id
We''re going to have problems keeping cookies across domains. We want people to shop in one domain (e.g. "booksareus.com") and then checkout on the same server securely under a different domain (e.g. "greatbooks.com"). When we make the jump to the secure domain (the checkout link) can we submit the user''s session ID along with it and have it

slow speeds with Windows 10
Hai, My advice would be get a cable tester. Or see if you can loan some cable to test, with what your saying im almost sure you have a bad cable/connector/ethernet port somewhere. And check if you synoligy supports gigabit networks and put in a gigabit swich. Then see if you wifi is still faster then you ethernet. If you model is a 1xx, what happens when you disable https? DSM version is?
