Win95 client on a remote subnet connot connect.
HI Samba admins
I have a win95 client on a remote subnet, i.e on the other side of a
router, where all broadcast are stopped in the router. On the remote
site the win95 is connected to another samba server and novell server.
I would like it to connect to my samba server, logging in with the
domain userid/passwd. How can I on the win95 mount a drive with

Connot create/select subdirs
Hello all,
I have a RedHat 5.1 system running SAMBA and the machines and users log
on properly but no one can select, create, delete or do anything with
subdirectories.
I checked the logs and it seems that the share names are not being
'made' properly.
Is there a setting or problem with 5.1 install that I need to change???
Thanks

external connotation: tags, categories, prios, users
Hi Folks,
are there some [markdown extensions][1] including categories or tags?
Like #hashtags on twitter or [[Category:Foo]] on Mediawiki. Additionally
on [RTM][2] you can write '!2' for priority, '@klml' for user or '#home'
for listings.
Afiak its useful to have standardized those tags for e.g. ticketsystems,
todolists, taskboards etc

[LLVMdev] "Name that compiler"
Looks like people send many names in the contest,
so shall I do too.
I propose "Lepton", loosely meaning light (featherweight) in Greek.
It is used in particle physics to refer to very light particles
(electrons, muons).
For me it also has the connotations of fastness and
restlessness (in the LLVM sense of post-compile
optimization).
See more at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lepton#Etymology

changing memory limits to speed up lsoda
...requires ~378 s to complete
one set of time intervals. I need to optimize the parameters, and so
need to considerably speed up the simulation.
I have tried to figure out how to change the appropriate memory
allocation and have search R help and Introductory information and
the archives, but connot figure out how to allocate more to the right
place.
I would greatly appreciate any pointers or tips or leads.

...enu.c32 not a COM32R image.
I learned to press the TAB key and I see the entries, I gave for this
box. Then I selected the "reboot" entry and got a similar error:
reboot.c32: not a COM32R image.
I found no exact configuration example and I am now really
very confused, because I even connot differentiate between
bootps, PXE, gPXE, iPXe, etherboot, SYSLINUX, PXELINUX,
GPXELINUX, ISOLINUX, UDIONLY ....
No flame intended ...
The files on the syslinux-6.02 are just too much and lost control
completely. Additionally - this was my first step - I followed the

What a Difference a NIC makes
...lly looking at the error and ruling out the interrupt part I was left with the eth0 part.
Long story made short I swapped out the SMC NICs with 3com and the world is right again. I have absolutely no errors in the console and every phone and peer stays available. If you are having problems and connot isolate why, try another NIC.

I'm still confused why the name needs to be changed. It's a branch
upon which (nearly) all other branches are based, and rebased. Why is
'master' such a horrible name for it? There are no negative
connotations with a branch name. Anyone who reads more into it, the
problem is on them and them alone.

ActiveRecord, spec''ing find has right :order parameter
I''m wanting to write a spec that a model is applying an :order option
to a find call, but I don''t want to completely specify all of the find
parameters.
So I want to write something like this, say in a controller spec
User.should_receive(:find).with(:all, hash_with_at_least(:order =>
''user.name ASC''))

Resuming the discussion of establishing an LLVM code of conduct
...ss as..." - OK
"You ***, how dare you say ___" -- NOT OK
As an example taken from your email, your use of the work "regime" comes
across as potentially loaded with negative meaning. I'd suggest that
using a word like "proposal" would have been more neutral connotation
wise and still made your point. Your word choice could be read to imply
that you view Chandler as a authoritarian dictator which he clearly is
not. :)
