windows 98 logon script
Hi all,
Hope some could help me out with my problem.
The following is part of my smb.conf.
logon drive = Q:
logon path = \\%L\profiles\%U
logon home = \\%L\%U
logon script = scripts/%g.bat
I have a <groupname>.bat file for each group and that basically maps each
users home directory and a common directory of that group. Bellow is a
script for group ma and name of the script is ma.bat.

cdr_odbc not logging integers eg duration
I've just noticed that since swapping from the direct mysql cdr driver to
cdr_odbc, the call duration (and anything else that's an integer) isn't
logged - anyone else seen this and know the reason. The cdr_odbc driver
gives no error messages and records any string based fields correctly.

Win95/WinNT name mangling / case sensitivity
Hello,
could anyone give me a working configuration (only the 3 or 4 lines
required for the desired settings) for our Win95 / WinNT4.0-Clients.
Our samba server: 1.9.18p7
Our customers would drag and drop a file within the browsers from a local drive
(for example C:) to a SAMBA-connetced network drive *WITHOUT* changing anything
within the file name (length, case etc.).
I would be glad to get a solution for *BOTH* OS !
Or is the soloution to set up two servers with different configurations ???
(I hope not ......)
Thanks
Klaus
P.S. I've already read the smb.conf and all...

smbclient -> winpop -> win2000
Hello List,
i want to send messages (information on incomming calls) from
my linux box to my win2000 workstation. For this i use
echo "hell0" |smbclient -M win2000 -I 192.168.0.3
the problem ist that the message appears about 10 seconds

The reason for that is the behaviour of smbclient together
with win2000. When i call smbclient like

Win2K and Samba
Has anyone tried using Windows 2000 Professional with Samba? I'm
checking it out now, and when I try to connect to a share, I get an
error message similiar to the one you get with Win98 and NT4 with SP3+
with encrypted passwords.
Does anyone know the equivelant registry path to set plain text passwords? The NT4 path doesn't seem to exist:

Oneway Audio
Hi all,
I did not get this error in Asterisk 1.2.5 release. I am testing on Asterisk
SVN-trunk-r15187 to avail the PARKEDAT variable.
- I park the call using ParkAndAnnounce
- plays moh.
- accept the call using ParkedCall
The following errors are coming on the console and there is oneway audio -
no audio after Music-On-Hold at caller's side. Please advice.
I am testing using cisco 7902

HELP: problem getting Samba to connect - "ERRSRV - ERRinvnetname"?
Dear list readers:
I've installed the most recent Samba from source on my Redhat Linux
server. The simple file share I've made shows up, the machine pings
correctly, and does ftp and apache fine, but won't let anyone login to
Samba. For example:
$ smbclient '//WWW.PSYCH.UDEL.EDU/SIMPLE/' -U me
added interface ip=128.175.41.164 bcast=128.175.41.255 nmask=255.255.255.0

iscsi confusion
I am confused, because I would have expected a 1-to-1 mapping, if you create an iscsi target on some system, you would have to specify which LUN it connects to. But that is not the case...
I read the man pages for sbdadm, stmfadm, itadm, and iscsiadm. I read some online examples, where you first "sbdadm create-lu" which gives you a GUID for a specific device in the system, and then

Who's eating our bandwidth?
Hi,
I've recently setup a new server for our public libraries. For the last
two years, this has been my first "big" job, since it involves
networking eleven small to medium size public libraries.
There was a hiccup some time ago when the administration hiring me
wanted to do it on their own, but it took them less than two weeks to
get the server hacked and lose everything. So
