samba + openldap + tls
Hi,
I using openldap 2.0.23 and samba 2.2.4 on a Redhat 7.2 Linux distrib.
I've compiled with ldap support dans It works fine in clear mode. I've
configured unix auth. in order to use ldap on TLS mode, and it works also.
When I try to use TLS more (or SSL on 636), it doesn't work. LDAP
doesn't seem to have an error (see logs below), but samba tells "Failed

TLS connections between Samba&OpenLDAP
Goos morning all,
I compiled Samba 3.0.14a with OpenLDAP 2.1.22-0
directory. I then enabled TLS between Samba and
OpenLDAP.
The following tests succeeded:
s_server to s_client --> OK
slapd to s_client --> OK
slapd to OPenLDAP client commands (ldapsearch..)
--> OK
The problem is the following: when I start Samba
(service smb start), slapd output returns:
TLS trace:
2005 Dec 02

TLS: error:140890C7:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_CLIENT_CERTIFICATE:peer did not return a certificate

connection_read(12): TLS accept error error=-1 id=0, closing
connection_closing: readying conn=0 sd=12 for close
connection_close: conn=0 sd=12
Is there a way to specify, in the dovecot-ldap.conf file, where to look for the client
certificate and key files? Or maybe make dovecot parse the ldaprc file under /etc?
Best Regards,
David

Debian Lenny - Samba 3.2.5 + OpenLDAP (slapd) 2.4.11
I have a serous problem.
I have for some time now tried to get an SAMBA based Domain Controller
working.
I have tried with OpenLDAP and tdbsam as backend, but I get the same
error every time.
I wood prefer to use LDAP as my backend.
I have read tons of how-to SAMBA + LDAP, but non of the seams to work
for my, is there someone that maybe can see what I have done rung in
my config.?
I have

[Bug 615] OpenSSH 3.6.1p2 ON SCO 3.2v4.2 + STRICTMODES -->yes (broken dirname in libgen)

Created an attachment (id=387)

Move libgen test after dirname test
Looked at this again, I think the reason it's not working is libgen has already
been detected before the dirname test,
