subsetting based on joint values of critera
Dear colleagues, I have a dataset that looks as below.
I would like to make a new dataset that excludes the cases which are joint conjunctions of particular state names and years, so Connecticut and 2010, Maryland and 2010 and Vermont and 2010.
I'm trying the following subset code:
newdata<- subset(bpa, (!State=="Connecticut" & year<"2010"))
It appears that it's only evaluating both criteria independently and not jointly, so this is returning all ca...

Thanks a lot.

Dendrogram for many cases
Dear All,
I have a cluster object based on a
dissimilarity matrix from about 1,100
cases and wish to know whether anyone
can think of any tips to display some
form of graphical output which would
give some sense of the similarity
between the cases.
A standard form of dendrogram would be
fine, but with so many cases the
dendrogram on the standard devices
(R-2.20 on NT4) is very compact

It would also be possible to add a new \VignetteXXXX directive so affect collation order, but that seems like overkill.

Trying to create pulldown select menu for US State form fiel
I noticed there is a country_select. Is there anything like
us_state_select maybe?
More specifically - I''m wondering if I manually have to populate an
array with all the U.S. state abbreviations so users can select which
state they live in while entering their mailing address.

member server 3.0.23c drives me nuts
Hello everybody
First of all thanks to the developer team in providing the samba suite.
I have been running samba servers for serveral years now but 3.0.23c
just drives me nuts.
I have a PDC and BDC running samba 3.0.23c with openldap as backend and
also a samba member server trying to run 2.0.23c.
The member server is the primary file server so I can't play with it all
that much.
