[LLVMdev] Opinions Wanted: New asm Comments
I have a patch I'd like to commit that adds commentary to asm files about which TableGen pattern generated a particular instruction. The output looks like this: cvtpd2ps %xmm0, %xmm0 # source.c:39 # Src: (intrinsic_wo_chain:v4f32 927:iPTR, VR128:v2f64:$src) # Dst: (Int_CVTPD2PSrr:v4f32 VR128:v2f64:$src)

Wrong voicemail after transfer?
I'm using a modified "default config" file for extensions.conf, the one that uses macro-stdexten to handle the stations. We use a TDM30 card for our stations. When a call that has been rung in using that macro transfers the call things work just fine as far as the "other" instrument ringing. But once the ring timeout has expired, the call then drops into the *original

Introducing the Asterisk Realtime Architecture - ARA
I've added an introduction article about the ARA on my web site http://www.voip-forum.com/ The same text is now also added to CVS head as README.realtime. On the same site, you will also find the news item about how we used Asterisk for a call from an airline jet above Greenland to Stockholm, Sweden. The world is getting smaller and more connected every day! /Olle

Relationship Question (STI)
My girlfriend and I have been dating for two years, and she just told me she has an STI... Actually, I currently have three different models, like: Dog, Whale, Monkey They all have some similar attributes, but, they are unique enough to break into their own models. I could use STI, but I think the table would just have too many columns. Now, I wanted to let the Dog''s, Whale''s

[LLVMdev] A "backend" is ... ?
I haven't run out of popcorn watching the "Upstreaming PNaCl's IR simplification passes" thread but one thing struck me that I would really like clarified. It feels like a tangential issue so I thought I'd ask it separately. In the very same message, I see this: >>>> Some background:  There are two related use cases for these >>>> IR simplification

[LLVMdev] questions about the mc-relax-all flag
...discussion from roughly two years ago - http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2011-February/038302.html - confirms this, also showing that this optimization can be beneficial. So the questions are: 1. Should it not be always enabled? Why would we want to disable it? 2. Could a better name be conjured for it? As it stands now, the flag sounds like a binary predicate - either relax all, or don't relax all. Maybe something like "mc-early-relaxation" would be more descriptive? Thanks in advance for any insights, Eli (*) For instance in the case of X86, the MCInst emitter shrinks JNE...

In this case, I think it's even worse than "aapcs" or "fastcall", that are target dependent, but at a higher level. Proposing at which register each variable will be, forces the front-ends to

GEP with a null pointer base
Mehdi, Hal’s transformation only kicks in in the *presence* of UB, and it does not matter how that UB got there, whether by function inlining or without function inlining. The problem with Hal’s argument is that the compiler does not have a built in ouija board with which it can conjure up the spirit of the author of the source code and find out if the UB was intentional with the
