search for: conftests

Hi, I am trying to install Samba 2.2.8a on Solaris 2.6 using GCC 2.95 but somewhere it seems to fail. I am not that experienced with compiling and stuff but I took a look at config.log and see a few error messages but its not clear to me where it went wrong. Attached to this message I have the config.log (zipped) Hope anyone of you can help me out here. Thanks!

Hi all, I ran ../llvm/configure CC=g44 CXX=g++44 and the exit code was 0, but in config.log I found errors (mostly about missing files) and warnings (mostly about conflicts in builtin functions). I thought maybe the fact I later get compilation errors when running make is related to these. How do I correct these errors? or can they be ignored? The full list of errors from config.log is

Hi, I am curious why don't you guys create /etc/tinc directory, set permissions, add /etc/rc.d scripts etc. from the Makefile(s) in the source distribution ? Doing a make install and not finding an example config in /etc/tinc is kind of frustrating. Am I missing something? Maybe there is a good reason for that? Hi, There was another message about this from Darren Evans. I am hoping that the logs from below might shed additional light on this problem (kernel version 2.2.14). I'm running Redhat 6.2, openssh-2.1.1p2.tar.gz, openssl-0.9.5a.tar.gz. I haven't tried to recompile with /usr/src/linux pointing to 2.2.12 per Darren's solution - that's my next thing to do, or perhaps compile

I built it on SPARC/Solaris9 using Sun's Studio7 C-Compiler just now and got some output that I cant use but it migth possibly be useful for you guys to chase a few bug with.
