Reading Puppet reports with Python
...rds, time):
self.host = host
self.logs = logs
self.metrics = metrics
self.records = records
self.time = time
However, the Python YAML parser fails with:
"yaml.constructor.ConstructorError: expected a mapping node, but found
scalar"
On the ruby/sym line:
!ruby/sym config_retrieval: 0.853000164031982
I don''t know how to define the classes to accept a scalar data type rather
than a mapping node data type, and Mr Google is giving me ZERO answers.

puppet: 3.1.1 -> 3.2.1 load increase
Hi,
I recently updated from puppet 3.1.1 to 3.2.1 and noticed quite a bit of
increased load on the puppetmaster machine. I''m using
the Apache/passenger/rack way of puppetmastering.
Main symptom is: higher load on puppetmaster machine (8 cores):
- 3.1.1: around 4
- 3.2.1: around 9-10
Any idea why there''s more load on the machine with 3.2.1?

was that puppet was meant to be run as a continually running service.
I am wondering if the official position has changed. On one hand many if not
all of the early Ruby issues have been fixed, on the other, the addition of

How best to monitor puppet?
We want to use Nagios to monitor out puppet server so we can be notified
if it goes down. We are using Fusion Passenger and Apache on Red Hat.
Any suggestion for what and how to monitor?
