2.6.25: xm console doesn''t work: "XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/console/0"
...any prompt after the bootup is done. I noticed this message in dmesg, which seem (?) to indicate the cause: XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/console/0 But I have the Xen console driver built-in: # grep -i xen .config CONFIG_XEN=y CONFIG_XEN_BLKDEV_FRONTEND=y CONFIG_XEN_NETDEV_FRONTEND=y CONFIG_HVC_XEN=y Or is the problem somewhere else, in /etc/inittab perhaps? -- Tomasz Chmielewski http://wpkg.org _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

[RFC 0/3]: hvc_console rework for platform without hard irqs
This patch set if my first attempt to make virtio_console usable on s390. To do so, I had to change hvc_console, because s390 has no request_irq and no free_irq. I want to get feedback from the main users of hvc_console before I proceed. The basic idea of this patch set is to remove the calls to request_irq and free_irq and replace them with backend specific callbacks. Please see the

how to get xen with a kernel 2.6.27 or above?
Hi list, I am starting a academic security related project and I was wondering if there is any documentation on compiling xen/dom0 with a recent kernel? I''ve seen a few good intentioned threads, but no real documentation so far. Any helpful pointers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, - SDG P.S: First mail, not sure if I should post it here...let me know if I am on the

virtio-serial: A guest <-> host interface for simple communication
Hello, Here are two patches. One implements a virtio-serial device in qemu and the other is the driver for a guest kernel. While working on a vmchannel interface that is needed for communication between guest userspace and host userspace, I saw that most of the interface can be abstracted out as a "serial" device with "ports". Some requirements for a vmchannel are listed at
