Is this confict of different versions of R or something else?
Hello!
I have had some problems lately with use of R at home and school. At my home
laptop (Ubuntu linux 64bit & R-2.12.0) R works just fine. But when I take my
codes to school(Windows XP 32bit & R-2.10.1 I think) and run those there
those codes probably won't work. Functions as combinations() didn't work and
expand.grid() worked a bit differently. About expand.grid I just

Of course I did it on a virtual machine clone of our dc without network interface.
The script fails with :

So it seems to be because the account name is french and not English.
Do you know were I could find those strings to translate ?

nmbd doesn't start after upgrade to 2.4.9-31 kernel
Hi all,
I had a very simple samba-2.2.3a installation running. Not as domain
master or such. Now after upgrading to 2.4.9-31 kernel, I am unable to
start nmbd. smbd starts okay.
Does anyone know of any selection in the config for a newly compiled
kernel that could prevent nmbd from running? Is there a confict with this
kernel downloaded from ftp.redhat.com?
TIA

Make Samba 4 as Additional DC to Windows Server 2003R2
Hi,
I am trying to make Samba 4 as additional DC to a Domain Hosted in
Windows Server 2003 R2. Is it possible? Or do we have to first migrate
to Windows Server 2008 R2 and then to Samba?
samba-toll domain join command comes upto Domain Provision and it
reports OK. However when the replication starts it fails. Error thrown is:

error: "printing subsystem unavailable" when trying t o print test page to samba server
I had that happen to me on w2k. Your spooler service is stopped. I had an
invalid print driver entry in Samba and when I printed to any of the
printers on my Samba server it would cause the service to stop.
To fix it I replaced the printer tdb's and re-installed the drivers.

SAMBA question on Windows2000.
Hello all,
I have just installed samba on my linux machine, but failed to
browse Linux resources from a Windows2000 machine. But if i changed
the 'security = user' to 'security = share', i can browse linux from
Windows2000 box, i don't think i have problems with the connections. I
guess there must be something wrong with the password authentication
methods. I read the

The use of seq_along in this line in base::conflicts

The proposed repair works as I wish.

Upgrade 4.8 to 4.9 with Backend-Change to lmdb?
Yes,
Ive fixed 1 of the 2 problems at install.
Im testing fix 2 atm, and ask @technical for extra info.
There are 2 bugs with the upgrade of 4.8 to 4.9.
For others, please note, i've only tested this on debian with the debian packages (experimental) and my own packages.
Bug 1) at install samba is unable to start due to :
a change (commit) 0b261dc4e3f2 in 4.9 that requires to have

are RPMForge and EPEL compatible?
Following Fabian's blog post re: RPMForge being rebuilt for EL5, I've a
question:
Are there any compatibility problems between RPMForge and EPEL? In other
words, if I enabled EPEL previously, will I be able to enable RPMForge
as well without running into trouble?
