[LLVMdev] Is IR VM does make sense since llvm3 ?
...he IR bytecode directly? llvm has differents bytecode from low level, to more hight level... So do you see some interest to have this kind of VM for one of this bytcode ? Is it hight level enougth like java byte code ? My second obvious question is about the bycode format, is it stable enought to concider using it as an 'archive' source/byte code ? Thanks for some guidances, before investing lots of energy ! Frank -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [LLVMdev] LLVM IR generation as one of LLVM passes
...of previously gathered informations. Additional I want to be able to chose pass which will produce IR code (if there will be more than one such pass). Is it possible in LLVM? (can I generate IR inside a compilation pass and use passes in described way?) If the above description will be not clear, concider following construction (uppercase letters are passes and lowercase letters are data consumed and produced by each pass respectlively) A: file->b B: b->c C: b->d I1: c -> IR I2: d -> IR ... (other LLVM passes) and now I could enable passes: A,B and I1 or A,C and I2 (both of them gen...

mixing and 'downgrading' of vorbis-files
...wngrading' a signal to a lower datarate. Concerning 'mixing' music, it would be interesting to be able to mix two ogg-files without the need to decode and re-encode the files? Also, can it be done to mix vorbis-file with different data-rates? Concerning 'datarate downgrading', concider a radio-station doing streaming a different data-rates (128 Kbps for cable or ADSL; 80 Kbps for dual-band ISDN, 60 Kbps for ISDN, 40 Kbps for modem, ...). SO, it would be nice to able to 'downgrade' a (say) 128 KBps to the lower datarates without having to decode and re-encode the signal....

Java bytecode remains much much higher-level than LLVM IR; this hasn't significantly changed. > > My second obvious question is about the bycode format, is it stable enought to concider using it as an 'archive' source/byte code ? Quite a few people are interested in keeping the bitcode format stable these days, so it will probably remain fairly stable for the foreseeable future. That said, as far as I'm aware all of the issues discussed in the "LLVM IR is a com...

Voice Modem + Soundcard Driver
The problem with using Voice Modems is that they fall into two categories: 1) Hardware Modems which only have half-duplex transmission of voice 2) Soft/Win/Lin modems which are proprietry and don't have asterisk drivers Please shoot down this recipe before I waste any time trying to acheive it: Rationalisation: ---------------- In Australia and I assume other places, there is no

Hi I'm looking to a function in R equivalent to S-PLUS' "interp". Is there any implementation in R? If not, is there any similar interpolation function such that at the data points the interpolated values concides with the data? Thanks in advance P.J. Data in an object = Existing Objects??
...es already calculated and existing in my R workspace... What i tried to do (and i doesnt work) is the following e.g x1 <- DF[1,1] C_05_04 (Where C_05_04 exists as an object in the workspace ) and then try to apply any kind of function using this x1 Is there a way to specify that x1 should be concidered as an object and not just as data ? Do I need a ring capacitor to use TDM400P cards in UK
Hello I have played about with a TDM400 card and plugged in some standard analog phones. I am using the card in FXS mode - for analog extensions. I did notice that one of my phones did not ring and I wondered why. I later read in Paul Mahler's book VoIP Telephony with Asterisk that in his section on the TDM400 on page 127 he says "In the UK, you may need an adapter that provides a

GlusterFS healing questions
Hi, You can set disperse.shd-max-threads to 2 or 4 in order to make heal faster. This makes my heal times 2-3x faster. Also you can play with disperse.self-heal-window-size to read more bytes at one time, but i did not test it. streaming: some idea's
...ould be nice if it could direct its 'listerens' to other servers (local caches, backup-servers, ...) while it is playing. But, (e.g. when re-directing to IP-multicast streams or a local cache), it is not always sure that the player can actually 'reach' the new source. One things to concider: When a player connects to a 'local cache', where should the control stream go to? To the cache or to the original server? Just some basic ideas. All comments welcome! Cheerio! certificates keys on pkcs11 devices
Hi, I have not found any way to use a Certificate with ssh-agent when my Key is stored on a pkcs11 device. I can add my key with ssh-add -s /usr/local/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so but ssh-add -s /usr/local/lib/opensc-pkcs11.so ~/.ssh/mykey-cert.pub does not add the certificate to my agent. As far as I undestand, in ssh-add.c line 580 if (pkcs11provider != NULL) { if (update_card(agent_fd,
