split a data frame
Hi , I have a data frame (Data1) which has a area variable (AREA) with codes (RA,RG,LT etc.). I would like to split the data frame into individual data frames called RA, RG, LT conatining only the observations from those areas. Thanks yours sincerely Andrew McCulloch -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read

I am asked - whether I want to test the media, which I skip - what language I want to use - I select English - what keyboard I have - I select us - the installation method - "What type of media conatins the packages to be installed?" I have the choice between - Local CDROM - Hard drive - NFS image - FTP - HTTP but not virtual CDROM. How can I get it to install from the virtual CDROM? (and no, choosing Local CDROM doesn't work). Why is the question there in the first place?...

Faster way to combine data sets with different date ranges
I am trying to combine two data sets, one with daily values and one with weekly values.  SurveyData conatins environmental data collected on a daily basis.  sat.data contains satellite sea surface temperature that is an average of satellite measurements over a six day period.  I would like to combine the two files so that my output file has the daily dates from SurveyData and the weekly average from sat.d...

openssh, pam and cryptocard's cryptoadmin / easyradius
Hi, this is merely FYI, but i would appreciate if someone had any comments or further information on the topic. We were using the following setup : cryptocard easyradius with RB-1 hardware tokens (hex or decimal display, synchronous (quicklog) mode) f-secure ssh with pam radius authentication This worked fine until we updated to openssh 2.9p2. Then all authentications where the response

FreeBSD 4.x NT PDC authorization
....?? So trying to set up something like this is just a waste of time ? 2. If the above is correct, did anybody have some experience with DragonFly BSD ? My understanding is that the DragonFly team picked up the development where the FreeBSD left it off so maybe they got nsswitch. 3. If my pam.conf conatins the line sshd auth sufficient pam_winbind.so debug try_first_pass where should I look for the log ? I just can't see anything related to my failed authentication attemps in the smbd/winbind log... Thomas

Strange Roaming Profiles problem
....dat D:\Documents and Settings\tom\\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\index.dat all other files are delated as expected. When I now logout and login again, the same will happend and one new profile directory "tom.DOMAIN.001" will be created, while "tom.DOMAIN" conatins the same files as in "tom". When I try to delete the files by hand, I get an error message from XP: "Cannot delete index: It is beeing used by another person or program. [LLVMdev] SmallString + raw_svector_ostream combination should be more efficient
Sean, thanks for reminding this, Alp did commit a class derived from raw_svector_ostream conatining an internal SmallString he called small_string_ostream. The commit was reverted after a day due to a disagreement about the commit approval and apparently abandoned. http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20140623/223393.html

Failing to get uids from AD
Hi, I'm still having trouble getting Samba 3.6.3 / Winbind to fetch UIDs from AD 2008 R2 with the Services for Unix feature installed. My users have uidNumber fields which contain the UIDs I want. I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 The global part of my smb.conf. I've tried changing 'winbind nss info' and 'schema_mode' to sfu as well. security = ADS realm = CORP.mycompany.COM

Hello, I am trying to boot an RHAS 4 release 3 guest kernel (the binary release available through Redhat Network) from a SLES 10 dom0 host (the binary release available through Suse''s software distribution channel). Both systems are installed as physical partitions in a standard multiboot configuration on a single hard drive on a recent vintage HP Pavilion (zd7380) notebook PC with a

Create single vector after looping through multiple data frames with GREP
Hello all, I changed the subject line of the e-mail, because the question I''m posing now is different than the first one. I hope that this is proper etiquette. However, the original chain is included below. I've incorporated bits of both Ethan and Brian's code into the script below, but there's one aspect I can't get my head around. I'm totally new to programming

[LLVMdev] SmallString + raw_svector_ostream combination should be more efficient
I don't think we should make flush virtual. Why do you need to do it? Can't you set up the base class to write to use the tail of the memory region as the buffer? I have the icecast with some ices working perfectly in a Linux server, mp3 files are reproduced with no problems, I'm quite satisfied with it but I have a little doubt! When users click the link at the HTML page, their default player (like xmms, winamp... etc) doesn't load. That's how I've made the link: <a href="http://my.server:8000/playlist.m3u"> How can I

[LLVMdev] SmallString + raw_svector_ostream combination should be more efficient
Could you dig into why: + raw_ostream &write(unsigned char C) override { + grow(1); + *OutBufCur++ = C; + return *this; + } Is 3 times as fast as raw_svector_ostream? I don't see a good reason why that should be any faster than: raw_ostream &operator<<(char C) { if (OutBufCur >= OutBufEnd) return write(C); *OutBufCur++ = C; return *this; }

SmallString + raw_svector_ostream combination should be more efficient
+llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org The impact should be small as all the other streamers usually write directly to the memory buffer and only when out of buffer they call write(). OTOH, raw_svector_ostream (without a buffer) goes though write for every character or block it writes. It can work without virtual write() by overriding the existing virtual write_impl() but this is a slower code path for
