(RFC) JumpMaps: switch statement optimization
...ar to that of JumpTables. The lowering is even slightly easier as JumpMaps do not require an extra range-check basic-block - the default case is also handled by __jumpmap_find. Targets need to provide lowering for the map structure and __jumpmap_find function, which would typically become a part of compier-rt library and could be written in hand-crafted asm for extra speed. Questions or comments? Please let me know. Best Regards, Witold Waligóra Myre Laboratories

CDR_Oracle anybody?
...e way that might be either marketable or usefull to others as Open Source, though I can't justify spending a lot of time on it unless it brings something in for me. So since my wife is a senior Oracle (Financials) person, and I've got 9i running on a couple of machines (experimenting with Compiere CRM/ERP) I'm really tempted to put her to work. Unless somebody already has a really slick solution to this I'd be very curious (and appreciative) to hear people's thoughts. BTW: I was involved in bizarre telephony billing systems back in the early 90's with International Callb...

Has anyone any experience of the above. Key feature for me is tracking incoming and outgoing emails and linking them to the contact record. Thanks, sorry for the OT ;-)

DirectX questions
Hello all, Many games include a DirectX bundle in their installation setup, therefore the WINE DirectX implementation becomes overriden when we test games. However, not only this prevent the testing of WINE's DirectX implementation, the bundle they install is usually outdated. I was wondering therefore if preventing the DirectX install is possible, and if yes, would it be useful for WINE

help for memory problem with 64-bit machines
Hello, I would appreciate *any* ideas on this problem. I'm the maintainer of a package ("subselect"), which on CRAN's Daily Package Checks is OK on all flavours of R, except r-devel Linux x86_64, where there is a "memory not mapped" segfault with the very first example that is tried out (output below). Additionally, a user with an AMD64 machine has just reported a
