Hi, I have been trying to get the sub function to work but can't for the life of me figure it out. I tried looking at ?sub but I think there is something that I am just not understanding. Example failed attempts > sub("\\","/","G:\Compensation Audits_Reports\Step Audit\Steps off Step.accdb") Error: '\C' is an unrecognized escape in character string

HDMI overscan compensation
...oked up to an LG monitor (IPS235P) via HDMI. At boot time, the video card displays an image on the monitor that is scaled down and surrounded by a black border approximately one inch in width. As far as I've been able to determine, this black border is caused by the video card attempting to compensate for any overscanning done by the monitor. Since the monitor doesn't DO any overscanning, I'd like to PERMANENTLY disable the overscan compensation on the video card. I guess this requires modifying the video BIOS. Does anyone know what needs to be done and how? Best regards, Christian...

ITSP that honors Dial Around Compensation
All, I am trying to find a SIP ITSP that honors dial around compensation. We are adding a Flex ANI code to our outgoing SIP invites by appending an isup-oli tag to our From: address, like this: INVITE sip:18889996563@carriers.icall.net SIP/2.0 Via: SIP/2.0/UDP xxx.y.34.201:5060;branch=z9hG4bK7f314484;rport From: "Dougs Payphone"

questions about quantization and motion compensation
Hello everybody, my name is Francesco, I am an italian student graduating in physics. I'm studing the Theora video codec and making some comparative tests. Unfortunately i'm not able to find some informations that could be useful. If someone could make clear some concepts, (or tell me where i can find these informations), i'll be very happy. ( I've yet read the Theora Format

High Volume US Traffic? Claim DIP Compensation!
This could be a nice opportunity for users with a high volume of SIP traffic terminating in the US: Collecting dip fees on outbound phone calls - fees that would otherwise go to the local phone company. With all the recent fees and surcharges, the cost of wholesale telecom and dialer traffic keeps rising. But what many companies with a high volume of IP based voice traffic don't realize

SpeexJitter and TCP/IP
Hi! I am still trying to clean the voice after procesing it with speex echo cancellation filter. I get some artifacts, the echo is removed, but you can here some metallic voices in background. Jean, in your test client you are using UDP connection and SpeexJitter to make sure UDP packets are in order. What if I use TCP/IP, do I still have to use SpeexJitter when using speex_echo_cancel ?

htdocs on NFS share / any pitfalls?
...the htdocs directory for the webserver is located on a nfs share. Client has cachefilesd configured. Compared to the old setup (htdocs directory is on the local disk) the performance is not so gratifying. The disk is "faster" compared to the ethernet link but the cache should at least compensate this a bit. Do they exist more pitfalls for such configurations? Thanks LF PS: checking httpd's caching system now ...

One of my user is praising Skype!!! I cannot figure out anymore what I can improve! This users sip show peers is jumping from 65 msec to 1800 all the time. Of course his voice quality is like a morse code with dashes or dots of connection time. The next minute he calls me via Skype and it works fine !!!! What indicates that there is no fault on his Internet connection!!! He is using his

Poor volume on SPA-2100 due to asterisk?
...bough a Sipura SPA-2100 to use with Asterisk. When I use the analog handset plugged into the SPA-2100, the person on the other end can hardly hear me. I check the SPA-2100 setup and their is no mic/spk gain control. Is this a problem with the SPA-2100 or with Asterisk? Any way for asterisk to compensate for the poor audio level (if the problem is the SPA-2100)? Thanks, Mike -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ogg123/libao needs to factor non support for mono in i810 driver
A playback of a mono vorbis track on a system using the i810 audio driver via ogg123 results in a double speed playback (chipmunk sound). It seems that this chipset doesn't support mono and while xmms seems to compensate for it, ogg123 doesn't I have a bugzilla report at redhat.com filed on this with more details https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=90433 Regards, Yusuf -- Yusuf Goolamabbas yusufg@outblaze.com --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project...
