format g729 and Voxee.com
Hi, I have just signed up with Voxee.com and have attached my Asterisk server to dial them via IAX2. Below is the start of the log which dials the number and promply hangs up when the call is answered, with the logs saying that the channel is not compatiable. I have traced this down to the g.729 codec which I don't have installed. Any ideas on how to force that the codec not be used? BTW, I have disallow=all and allow only the codecs that I want to use in both iax.conf and sip.conf. Best Regards, Todd Reese -- Executing SetCallerID(&quo...

Data File Size Problem
Hi R-Experts, I have a huge data file of size over 100MB, and this is in .dat format. Is it possible to work with this in the current version of R in Windows-XP machine? If not, please let me know the remedy of this. Can R handle large dataset like this? I know SAS is compatiable for this. But i want to try it in R. -- SUMANTA BASAK. Vorbize.c
Are there any attempts currently being worked on to make Vorbize Visual C++ compatable? Or for that matter non-GNU compatiable? I guess I never realized that getopt.h was a GNU thing. What would be the suggested course of action to get vorbize to cross compile on VC++ or other non-GNU platforms? If not I can certainly do this because I'd like to be able to run this on Windows but I didn't want to step on anyone...

helping with scriptaculous/Thomas Fuchs MIA?
...stronger object-oriented design and made more parallels between how Droppbables and Draggables are coded and instantiated. I have multiple selection and dragging of draggables working and droppables can accept multiple draggables in one drop. There are some other little changes too. The backwards compatiable rewrite is not quite ready for release yet. I have to clean up some details and then make sure that Sortables is still working. I think soon I''ll have it all working so that I can easily build something like Finder on my Mac. A very cool drag-drop admin interface for store.rb project. Of...

Re: converted VMDK disk iamge and Virtio driver
....conf refer to the LABEL and not any device name. In the boot process I see it explicitly says it is loading virtio_blk before the panic. So it is like that driver just doesn't see the disk. The host machine is a CentOS 6 box. Is it possible the virtio in the libvirt for CentOS/RHEL6 is not compatiable with the virtio_blk driver in CentOS/RHEL5? Either that, or something else getting loaded is causing interference? -- Paul Raines (http://help.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu) On Wed, 18 Jun 2014 4:49pm, Eric Blake wrote: > On 06/18/2014 02:23 PM, Paul Raines wrote: >> >> I have a CentOS...

Design Decision for KVM based anti rootkit
Shortly after I sent the first email, we found that there is another way to achieve this kind of communication, via KVM Hypercalls, I think they are underutilised in kvm, but they exist. We also found that they are architecture dependent, but the advantage is that one doesn't need to create QEMU<-> kvm interface So from our point of view it is either have things easily compatible with

...-handedly) keeping an effort we once called 'cran2deb' alive (in what we could call the third iteration of this; I had been involved in some earlier ones [1]). So if you run Ubuntu LTS you get over 4,000 CRAN packages ready-made. But you should really run Ubuntu LTS (currently 18.04) or a compatiable release (ie a new Ubuntu release). That maybe be best seen rather than read so to complement earlier blog posts I made a video showing how even installation of the entire tidyverse (and its 80+ packages including dplyr), or rstan (which is also heavy 'from source' due to loads of C++ compi...

Browser/Feature Detection for Rails/AJAX apps
With the Protoype library supporting only specific browers (i.e. not IE 5.x), I wondering if anyone can shed light on how they are doing detection for compatiable browsers in their Rails applications? Cheers, Nicholas

Re: Rails CMS(with live demo): community
Very interesting Dmitry, I think I will spend some time looking over your source as it is very much like the models I was looking to create. I think the best thing you can do (and I know this sounds horrible) is after getting it to run on 0.10.0 is make it more IE compatiable. Your english is far from messy by the way. Great work.

Cannot install dplyr
So I've tried many methods to get dyplr installed, I'll detail each of the methods and issues below. I'm running a new Linux machine with Pop!_OS. *From the package manager* I tried installing r-base from the package manager but it delivers a version so out of date that when I try to install dyplr it throws an error. As far as I can tell from researching the error, the only

converted VMDK disk iamge and Virtio driver
I have a CentOS 5 VM in vmware I wanted to move to work on KVM/libvirt. I used qemu-img to convert it to a qcow2 image, loaded virt-manager and created a new VM pointed at that qcow2 image. The boot paniced when it tried to mount the root filesystem also complaining about not being able to remount the swap partition. I played around and was able to get it to boot by changing the Virtual disk
