Hello, Does anybody know if Samba is compadable with Vista Yet? If so, is there a way for a group pr user policy to allow samba users to things in windows vista, like install programs w/o admin access. I know Vista has policies that can do this, where it cna basicly grant the user access, witha prompt or w/o a prompt. Can Samba support this too?

Ok, the current wine work with it has been GREAT. I mean, There are server apps that I can install now that I was unable to before. My problem is this. Hi, I recently wanted to try out the new 0.9.53 version (previously I had 0.9.35 installed), so I downloaded it from http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/archive/index.html (32-bit for Ubuntu Edgy, though I'm on x86_64) and installed it (did dpkg -r wine before), which went fine. Then I went on trying out some programs, but upon starting (say, winecfg), it filled the screen with messages like

So I used to use the winepulse patch for wine. (Yes I like pulse). But since 1.3.25+ uses mmdevapi for audio, that patch no longer works. That author points to a wine multimedia git, however, after installing that I have no more sound in any wine application, and the winecfg test audio says audio failed.
