compiling buoh comic reader for C-6
Hi all! I'm trying to build the buoh comic reader for centos 6 and my head is getting tired of repeated forceful contact with the wall. I built it on 5.6 without undue problems, but somehow 6.0 is beating me. (and no, the 5.6 binary doesn't work, at least not without a lot of futzing around, on 6.0. tried that first.) before I give gory details, has anyone already done this, from whom

Rsync 2.6.9 does not skip any files based on modification time
Hi I am trying to rsync some ghost images from a windows client running Windows XP to my Linux server. The problem is that rsync sends the complete files again even if nothing changed on the client side. The only way to avoid this is to use the "-c"-option but this takes nearly as long as uploading the files would. The server is running rsync-2.6.9, /etc/rsyncd.conf looks as follows.

/public content security
Hello all, I have a question regarding the security of my new web zine. The idea is that I have editors that can log into the site, and then upload comics in the form of a jpg. The way that I have this set up right now is that the jpg is submitted through a form and then placed into the authors sub directory in public/comics/. The record of the jpg is stored in a pendingcomics table

Win2K box and the file server are on the same switch. They are both configured as 100FD, AutoNeg=Off. I have not met anyone so far with that much performance difference, though some reported 1:2 speed ratio. Attached is our config file for your information. I've searched through this mail lists' archives. I couldn't find a solution, though I've seen people reporting similar
