centos 5.3 release notes in colloquial Arabic
I have been working with a new translator for the project and particularly the wiki (whom I have known for perhaps 18 months), and he has put up a test translation for the centos 5.3 release notes at: http://www.msamir.net/centos-release-notes/ I have encouraged him to subscribe here, and to self-introduce. He remarks that there is not a clear editor for right to left authoring in our

New Provider, Multiple Dynamic Adresses.
I am changing provider. The new provider gives out five public dynamic IP-adresses. Is there anyway to get a Shorewall-box to snag more then one IP-address, and then proxy-arp? I''m guessing that the answer is "No", but hey, you never know. Is there any other way that I could actually use my additional IP''s for my internal systems, and still use Shorewall for

Re: alternatives for hooking dlopen() without LD_LIBRARY_PATH or LD_AUDIT?
...proprietary) -> dlopens other proprietary plugins -> both libvixDiskLib.so and its plugins have DT_NEEDED "libstdc++.so.X" and other objects that have odd/old compiled versions in its own directory It's the proprietary library libvixDiskLib.so (colloquially known as "VDDK") which has trouble opening its own plugins. I guess you mean adding DT_* to the proprietary library? We don't distribute the proprietary library, end users have to choose to accept the terms of the (very poisonous) license on that library and so they download and...

spec template for CRUD?
Hello, Has anyone already come up with a set of shared behaviours that someone could leverage when adhering to a CRUD concept, with respect to controllers? Relatedly, it would be nice if there were a way to share generalized behaviour specs. -Chris

Misleading documentation on FP to integer conversion instructions?
The LLVM IR reference manual states, for fptosi: "The ‘fptosi’ instruction converts its floating-point <http://llvm.org/docs/LangRef.html#t-floating> operand into the nearest (rounding towards zero) signed integer value." I interpreted this to mean that it rounds: The nearest integer to 0.3 is 0. The nearest integer to 0.9 is 1. The nearest integer to 0.5 is either 0 or 1. And

Putting splom in a function
Hello R list, I have a little problem with splom. I'd like to wrap it in a function, for example: multi.scatterplot <- function(data,groups,cols,colors) { splom(~data[,cols], groups = as.symbol(groups), data = data, panel = panel.superpose, col=colors) } and then call it like in multi.scatterplot(iris,"Species",1:4,c("green","blue","red"))

Feedback – Regarding R Programming Language Version 2.15.1 (2012-06-22) Usage
Dear Sir / Madam, I am using R Programming Language Version 2.15.1 (2012-06-22) for sometime in a 32 bit PC running Windows OS (Platform: i386-pc-mingw32/i386 (32-bit)). During the execution / interpretation of the R script, sometimes it is found that behavior of the program is not consistent with the program structure. For example, it has been seen that, even if a condition inside an IF

Beryl and Compiz Merge: What's actually going on?
...ompiz and Beryl settings systems (the biggest differences), and this kind of brought some interest back to the merge. None of us were really sure how to make it happen due to the aforementioned inability to make a decision, so eventually 4 of us (onestone, maniac, iXce, and I) (at the risk of being colloquial) said "Screw it" and contacted Compiz leadership essentially saying "We can't get Quinn on board, but everyone else is, so why don't we just go ahead and set up the new merged project, and announce that is where we will be working in the future, everyone else will follow (a...

[RFC] Introducing the maynotprogress IR attribute
Hi All, We’ve prepared a new function attribute `maynotprogress` and loop metadata `llvm.loop.mustprogress` in order to better formalize the way LLVM deals with infinite loops without observable side-effects. This is deeply related to the implicit forward progress requirements in the IR. Background: There has been a demonstrated need for clarity within the forward progress requirements in LLVM
