Changes to HOWTO and maybe Samba Guide for Solaris patches
...;Winbind on Solaris 9" (p. 503), Solaris 9 users
are directed to download a patch from the following URL:

But the Sun site redirects users to a newer, longer, mch uglier URL:

(Yeah, that's all one line.)
I just thought I should mention it, in case there are other specific

I vaguely remember that there has been an issue with (a) certain KB and
the AD DC discussed on the list. But I don't recall. Maybe somebody on
the list can refresh our collecive memory.
Other places would most certainly be somewhere or all over the registry.
One other (bad) idea is to rename the NetBIOS-name of the domain to
MAYWEG.NET. And I don't know how the AD DC would handle this change, or
if it can.
Out of ideas for the moment...

Samba 4.17 Cannot join Win7 clients to domain
Hi Davor,
most of the domain accounts were part of an old NT4 domain. I did a
classicupgrade.
Your theory with the NTUSER.DAT-files seemed so promising, unfortunately
that was not it. I created new accounts on an XP machine and a Win7 machine
and tried to join with them, but still receive the same error. One of the
machines I'm not able to join with, wasn't even part of the domain
