...ire to use newer versions of the SMB
protocol, I have been building a new server and migrate user's data over to
it. The new server is running the following:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.6 (Maipo)
Samba/Winbind Version 4.8.3
One issue I've been having is trying to get UIDs to coinside between old
and new software versions.
Our Samba 3 configs have the following defined:
idmap config ADSMC:default = yes
idmap config ADSMC:backend = rid
idmap config ADSMC:base_rid=500
idmap config ADSMC:range = 2000-100000
I've set up the following in our Samba 4 server:

distances from points to line
Dear all,
I have discovered that there are many things that I used to do in my GIS
which are easily done directly in R, for example calculating interpoint
distances using geoR and pick out points inside a polygon using splancs.
I now wonder, is there a function to create a line object like a
watercourse and then calculate the distances between many points in space
and this line?
I couldn't

Grouping a list of links by category
Hi,
I want to display a list of links grouped by category like this:
Group 1
Link 1
Link 2
Group 2
Link 1
Link 2
I have this in my controller:
def index
@links = Link.find(:all, :order => "category_id")
end
And this in the view:
<ul>
<% for link in @links %>
<li>
<a href="<%= link.url %>"><%= link.link

Strange Warnings and dropped sip calls.
I've been getting this Warning message for a while now..
Apr 27 13:56:45 WARNING[1142106560]: chan_sip.c:5775 sipsock_read: Recv
error: Resource temporarily unavailable
and from what I can tell, this warning coinsides with a dropped call..
I'm running Cisco Gateways with Cisco ATA's (running 3.1 firmware) and I am
doing Re-invites with NAT & STUN (and in some cases RTP aware routers)..
Can anyone give me any insight as to what this warning is about, and why
some of my calls might be dropping?
Thank...

do I have to worry if executing an exe that may contain a virus under Wine?
Hi, I have a question:
do I have to worry if I run with wine an executable that may contain a
virus (I am running linux as a normal user, not root)?
