Funny caching problem
Hi folks,
I am experiencing a strange problem with 1.9.18p7 on FreeBSD 2.2.2.
When I access files from the [homes] share, my Win95 client seems to be
caching the files, and not realising that the files may have changed.
For example, I can load a simple text file (from the [homes] share) into
Codewright on the Win95 client. Then I edit the same file using vi on the
samba server, and write out the changes. Now, if I close the file in
Codewright, and re-open it, the old version of the file re-appears. Notepad.
exe shows the same behaviour, although (oddly), reading the file with
Quickview.exe seems...

Successful compile of Wine
...enamed the MSVCRT.DLL back to something else, and NOTEPAD.EXE runs again.
On a related question, I run SOL.EXE or FREECELL.EXE and they complain about
their missing CARDS.DLL. I bring the CARDS.DLL across from the w2k machine
and they still complain and don't run. And lastly, I am trying to run
codewright (that of course is more ambitious then the games) and I can
execute CW32.EXE and there is a momentary flash of a window trying to be
instantiated and then I am back to my bash shell with no errors on the
shell. I tried adding CWbasic.dll from the w2k machine to no avail.
Any suggestions will as al...

In setting up a linux/wine system that has two disk partitions, one for
windows & one for Linux (capitalization intentional), what is the
linux/wine convention for setting up paths on the windows partition
executables.
Is it reasonable to make a script that emulates the path environment of
the windows partition when it is booted and execute that script when
wine is used to access some

back to basic NOTEPAD.EXE
In running NOTEPAD.EXE on a system (Fedora Core 6 freshly formatted, all
packages updated to latest) when I start NOTEPAD.EXE, I see:
fixme:edit:EDIT_EM_FmtLines soft break enabled, not implemented.
When I do File->Open, I see the following in addition to the first
message:
fixme:commdlg:GetFileName95 Flags 0x00800000 not yet implemented
Is this normal and is there anything I

Ok, just downloaded it and I will try it this evening.

Codewright, and one major reason for using it is a nice option "Automatic
save on losing focus", meaning that I can edit sources, then press
ctrl-tab to change to SSH and the sources will be automatically saved.
