proc-37, installing 10gR2 CRS. /ocfs/ocr_disk1 is on FS type 1952539503. Not supported.
Hello,
I am facing a problem during root.sh of 10g Release 2, on RH 4.0 update
1 + ocfs2.
During the root.sh it reports the following error:
PROT-1: Failed to initialize ocrconfig
Failed to upgrade Oracle Cluster Registry configuration
Looking to the created ocrconfig logfile we can see the following:

RE: Shorewall and an inline IDS (snort-inline orhogwash)
I made an atempt to run snort_inline and shorewall on the same system
but I could not get snort to see the packets.
Maybe someone with a little more iptables knowledge could tell me what
I''m doing wrong or if its possible to have the systems setup so that it
places packets that the firewall would allow into QUEUE.
After setting up and starting shorewall I then issue the following

[LLVMdev] Operand, instruction
Actually i have to implement strength reduction, for that i have to first
detect induction variables using ALLEN-COCKE-KENNEDY algorithm. To find out
induction variables, i need the name of the instruction.
Thanks for the reply.

I suspect you are confused. Surely you only need a way of referring to each
instruction. For this you can use a pointer to the instruction.

Shorewall and an inline IDS (snort-inline or hogwash)
Is anyone using an inline IDS like hogwash or snort-inline to drop
packets in a system running shoreline? I _think_ I see how to
configure it, but I''d be really interested in finding a howto or
something...
Thanks!

Sorry to Renato for getting two copeis of this, I cocked up the reply

why won;t my voice files play?
I just recompiled my version from this morning's CVS Head.
My systems voice files (voicemail, time etc) were playing nicely. Until
that is I added an extension and now the files won't play.
Worse than that, * thinks the files have played and goes to the next
step in the dial plan.
What gives?

[LLVMdev] Union types
Hi All,
I've noticed the union type in the language manual [1] but it seems
it's not used too much.
According to the manual, the code:
union {
int a;
double b;
} a;
Could be compiled to:
%union.anon = type union { i32, double }
@a = common global %union.anon zeroinitializer, align 8 ;
<%union.anon*> [#uses=0]
But when I try to assemble it, I get:
$ llvm-as union.ll

eth0 & eth1 changing every boot
This is probably a stupid question, but I''m stumped. Practically
every time my firewall boots (not often, but still) eth0 and eth1
exchange places (internet and intranet). How do I lock them down?
SuSE 9.2, Shorewall 2.2.3.
Thanks!

Problem getting incoming mail to IMAP inbox
I have dovecot-0.99.10.5 on Fedora Core 2 installed and otherwise operating
using Maildir format for the folders, Kmail as the email client. Got through
all the ssl and other security configuration fine, but have one last problem:
I can't read the incoming mail from /var/spool/mail/%u. Tried several
'default_mail_env' settings, including none at all, to no avail. When I try

get_pin for scard-opensc.c
I'm attaching a patch to allow ssh client to get a pin from the command line
when using a smartcard. Most of it is from a patch by Danny De Cock
<godot () ulyssis ! org>, but I've used the ssh read_passphrase function
instead. Any errors are mine, I'm sure.
This enables ssh -I 0 to use a pin-protected smartcard via opensc.

[LLVMdev] Operand, instruction
Can you tell how to use vector globally? I mean, i am able to add entries to
a vector in a basicblock, but whenever a basicblock function call is
returned, the vector becomes empty. So how to use data structures globally?
And one thing, where is main ( or same kind of) function in llvm?
Thanks for you reply.

Update of xlsReadWrite package
The (*windows only*) xlsReadWrite package has been updated and the new
version is available on CRAN.
xlsReadWrite natively reads and writes Excel files (v97 - 2003).
o Changes from v1.1.1 to v1.3.3 (versions between never really published)
- ROWNAMES-support also for matrices (not only for data.frame)
- explicit rowNames argument in interface.

CVlim
Can anyone help explain to me why the two codes below have different result? I thought I can use log(time)~. to replace log(time)~dist+climb+timef.I am using CVlm from DAAG package. I think nihills is preloaded with the package. Thanks in advance.

[ANN:] new package xlsReadWrite*Pro*: announce + update.
I am happy to announce that a new version of xlsReadWritePro is available.
xlsReadWritePro natively reads and writes Excel files (v97 - 2003) on
Windows. The pro version is more powerful than the free version but,
beeing a small company, we ask you to support our development and
maintenance effort.
The following capabilities have been added (compared to xlsReadWrite):

[OT] Yealink Phones
I've just started deploying these (well the T28P model) after years of
Snom issues and they look pretty good (although the documentation is
execrable; if you thought the Snom stuff was obtuse Yealink have got
them knocked into a cocked hat!).
Anyway, for provisioning I use HTTP with a DHCP entry like:-

How can my boss take rails seriously with bugs like this?
The Time::next_week method is supposed to give the time of the start of
the next week. But look at this, it cocks up :
