Testing sieve filter
Hi,
I am trying to get sieve working with dovecot. Dovecot itself is
working fine, and I have the following config:

shadow_copy for homes share
...ctive Directory. The path to the
snapshots is located at /samba/homes/@GMT-YYYY.MM.DD-HH.MM.SS Using the
subpath each individual files should be located at
/samba/homes/@GMT-YYYY.MM.DD-HH.MM.SS/DOMAIN+user but the previous
versions tab is missing on this share. What am I doing wrong?

undelete messages?
...9;m using the lazy expunge plugin as configured in:
http://wiki.dovecot.org/Plugins/Lazyexpunge
The page claims users can undelete messages without assistance from a
sysadmin. How is this accomplished? When I try to subscribe to the
folders under the EXPUNGED namespace, nothing happens.

ACL question
Does ACL's apply to all subfolders? For instance, if I create a
dovecot-acl in a Maildir/, does it apply only to the INBOX or does it
apply to all subfolders as well?

shared mailboxes question
I'm using a virtual mailbox setup. Lets say my users have mailboxes in
/home/vmail/domain/%u. What I'm trying to do is setup one namespace
that points to /home/vmail/domain and contains everyones mailboxes that
I can subscribe to. Is this possible?
I tried using a symlink to /home/vmail/domain but it doesn't work
because its looking for the dotFoldername. The only way I could

password too long
...troubleshooting I found
that the password is too long! The password works with 23 characters
but if its 24 or more characters it fails. I am copying/pasting the
password so there is no chance of mistyping anything. I am using
samba-client-3.0.32-0.6 from SLES 10. Is this a known bug?

how to deliver when username and email differ
I have an Active Directory virtual setup and am using LDA to deliver to
local recipients. Today I found a big problem with my configuration and
not sure if this is fixable. Some of the users have multiple email
addresses and the %n variable for user doesn't match their actual
username. So if I have realname "Joe Bob" with a username of "joe" and
an email of "jbob at

OS: Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS
Kernel: 2.6.24-23-server x86_64
Samba: 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.9
We are having intermittent authentication issues with some windows
clients connecting to our samba server. Sometimes it works fine,
sometimes it fails miserably and continually. I'm not sure how to
reproduce the issue everytime but it does happen every single day.
