Going back to previous KVM version kvm-83-164 from Centos 5.5 they works again. What's wrong with qemu images ? anyone has an idea on how to fix the problem ? thanks Rick

Basic shared storage + KVM
...n (if any) to this problem? Keep in mind that the basic concept behind this approach is to keep things as simple as possible. I don't want to configure a cluster or any other complicated tool to simply be able to migrate VMs from one HV to another. Linux boot floppy to install over net
With all this going on, it seems to me there MUST be a floppy image that will load the minimum shell (including PCMCIA drivers!) and all over-the-net installs (HTTP, FTP, of NFS). That would really help on one old notebook I have. Oh, and of course this is for CentOS 4.2!

Xen and networking.
I have a beefy machine (Intel dual-quad core, 16GB memory 2 x GigE) I have loaded RHEL5.1-xen on the hardware and have created two logical systems: 4 cpus, 7.5 GB memory 1 x Gige Following RHEL guidelines, I have it set up so that eth0->xenbr0 and eth1->xenbr1 Each of the two RHEL5.1 guests uses one of the interfaces and this is verified at the switch by seeing the unique MAC addresses.

balancing domu CPUs on dom0
Hello, I have 2 different groups of guests running on hte same dom0, group0 and group1. I have 10 machines in group0 and 10 machines in group1. I would like guests belonging to group1 to use not more than 3 cores. So that if something bad happens group1 does not affect machines in group0. Is it possible to do in some way ? The CPU Resource assigned to a domU is 1 as minimum, and I would like all

kernel vulnerabilities
Hello, I am using CentOS 5.5 I planned to update the kernel rpm because of vulnerabilities came out lately. The new redhat updated kernel would be 2.6.18-238.5.1.el5 Also Scientific Linux did and update to the kernels according to redhat advisories but I have seen that CentOS is still bound to kernel 2.6.18-194.32.1.el5 so no security update is available. I was wondering if this is

problems with PV snapshots
Hello, I have a Centos 6.2 clsuter with a CLVM partition on which I have a GFS2 file system. The problem rises when I make a snapshot from my FC NetAPP FAS2020. After I make the snapshot (it is a rw snapshot) of my LUN, I am not able to mount it from any of my cluster nodes, because the Physical Volume is seen two times one time on the standard LVM partition and the other time on the snapshot
