HA tools from clusterlabs.org
hi everybody,
would you know if 8 version is going to have HA solutions from
clusterlabs.org available, just like Centos7 has? (from Centos' own
repos/streams)
many thanks, L.

CTDB vs HA(clusterlabs)
hi everyone
to experts, all experienced sambians - when one uses HA
cluster one deems CTDB needless, redundant?
Or you somehow team those two together?
Or maybe ctdb is so superior that it is ruling this domain
and if HA exists it leaves Samaba to ctdb?
many thanks,
L.

Clustering and ha planning
Hello , Centos users:
My name is Leandro, I have been using Centos for 4 years and this is the
first post in this mail list.
I would like to study and introduce myself in clustering and high
availability for Centos, currently I have not experience at all about it.
I would like to ask about the newest method to achieve high availability
, load balancing on linux / Centos.
So far I have seen the

Patch to Pacemaker hooks in ocfs2_controld
...Pacemaker hooks recently. This patch:
- Reuses more code from the Pacemaker libraries
- Escalates fencing to the cluster manager instead of initiating it
directly
Attached patch is against master, or you can pull the original patch
which is against an older version used by SUSE:

In what way is the SAN method less reliable? Am I going to get into a world of trouble going that way?

I've had a brief look at the web-site. Lots of good info there. Thanks!

KVM HA
Hi,
I have two KVM hosts (CentOS 7) and would like them to operate as High Availability servers,
automatically migrating guests when one of the hosts goes down.
My question is: Is this even possible? All the documentation for HA that I've found appears to not
do this. Am I missing something?
My configuration so fare includes:

Corosync on a home network
I've been trying to build a model cluster using three virtual machines
on my home server. Each VM boots off its own dedicated partition
(CentOS 7.3). One partition is designated to be the common /home
partition for the VMs, (on the real machine it will mount as /cluster).
I'm intending to run GFS2 on the shared partition, so I need to
configure DLM and corosync. That's where I'm

Pacemaker bugs?
...1 crmd: error: crm_abort: pcmkRegisterNode: Triggered assert at xml.c:594 : node->type == XML_ELEMENT_NODE
They seem to be related with the drbd resource, but do not cause any functional problem it seems.
For this particular problem I found the following patch:
<https://github.com/ClusterLabs/pacemaker/commit/68c7506aa84c69e5f425ef5f3025a9efb41d13da>
Are these already known bugs?
(I searched the CentOS bugzilla site but couldn't find any ticket
describing these bugs)
Any advise on if or where I should report it?
Thanks!

redundant networked secure file system recommendation
Hi all,
We are currently running a NFS-based server centric setup. I would
like to set up something where I can easily have more than one
redundant server, security/authentication (this part seems a little
flaky with NFS, at least did several years ago), with the capability
to easily add/remove servers as necessary, take redundant servers down
for maintenance, etc. Total volume we expect to run

CentOS 6: corosync and pacemaker won't stop (patch)
Hi,
I cannot 'halt' my CentOS 6 servers while running corosync+pacemaker.
I believe the runlevels used to stop corosync and pacemaker are not in the
correct order and create the infinite "Waiting for corosync services to
unload..." loop thing.
This is my first time with this cluster technology but apparently pacemaker
has to be stopped /before/ corosync.
Applying the following

CTDB Samba 4.10 example?
Hello,
from SAMBA 4.9/4.10 there was a big change regarding CTDB. Does anyone
have an example configuration, how to configure a CTDB cluster from
version 4.10?
Is there someone who run CTDB with SAMBA 4.10?
Best regards

Status of STONITH support in the puppetlabs corosync module?
Greetings -
Hoping to hear from hunner or one of the other maintainers of the
puppetlabs corosync module - there is a note on the git project page that
there is currently no way to configure STONITH. Is this information
current?
If so, has anybody come up with a simple method of managing STONITH with
corosync via puppet?

Getting Unknown Error while configuring Asterisk with Linux HA
Hi,
I recently configured Linux HA for Asterisk service (using Asterisk
resource agent downloaded from link:
https://github.com/ClusterLabs/resource-agents/blob/master/heartbeat/asterisk
).
As per configuration it is working good but when I include "monitor_sipuri="
sip:42 at 10.3.152.103" " parameter in primitive section it is giving me an

Is Pacemaker integration ready to go?
I have seen many references online to being able to use OCFS2 with
Pacemaker, but the documentation I have been able to find is very Sparse.
I have kernel 2.6.29, and the latest DLM and Pacemaker (using openais)
and OCFS2-Tools from GIT. (As of June 13).
I was able to build ocfs2_controld.pcmk ... (With some minor changes to
the makefile for my install)
I noticed the OCF version of o2cb is not

[PATCH 2/2] ocfs2: add error handling path when jbd2 enter ABORT status
...sources job.
if Filesystem RA doesn't apply monitor_[10|20] level, a readonly fs (not panic
then generate a coredump) could give administrator more info to locate the
rootcause.
I write above base on gfs2 fstest result: gfs2 doesn't panic for the ocfs2 panic
cases.

[RFC] Splitting cluster.git into separate projects/trees
Hi everybody,
as discussed and agreed at the Cluster Summit we need to split our tree
to make life easier in the long run (etc. etc.).
We need to decide how we want to do it and there are different
approaches to that. I was able to think of 3. There might be more and I
might not have taken everything into consideration so comments and ideas
are welcome.
At this point we haven't really

Agree, so a more elegant way is to make the journal abort node behaves
like node down, e.g. set hard readonly so that heartbeat also can not
update normally.
In xfstests, it uses device mapper to simulate disk down, so it will
also trigger nod...

and so on with the same messages until other node fence it.
I've searched on internet some info but nobody has the same problem.
I've tried to post the same error to clusterlabs mailing list without
answer.
I've notice that if I remove the FC cable from the node in error the log
messages stops, so I suppose is some problem due lock manager+ocfs2 and
network problem.
Could someone help me?

Roberto.
