SIP to H323 with no joy
...hould be.
Believe me, I wish I could use SIP for everything but I have no choice in the matter and upper management doesn't listen to reason (imagine that) so this is what I'm forced to deal with.
I'm sure it's a stupid mistake on my part. I just need someone to hit me with the cluebat and open my eyes a little.

CentOS 6.10, Epel 4.4.xx kernel, certmonger issue.
...n-graphical (runlevel 2) just fine.
Problem is when I go to run level five it hangs on certmonger when
running the 4.4 kernels.
Googled and so form a LONG time agao (10 years maybe?) there had been an
issue of hanging at certmonger that was fixed but I never found how it
was fixed.
Anyone have a cluebat for the clueless how I can get this combination to
run?
TIA,
Bill

Notice message meaning for C7960?
...h * is occuring just fine. Calls to/from the phone are fine. The
phone is on a distant registered IP address. Two years of running *, but not
seen this one before. Several other C7960's don't generate this warning
message. Obviously, I've screwed something up.
What did I do or miss? Cluebat?

Rcpp package relaunched

As of November 2008, I have made new release with substantially expanded
documentation, simpler yet more comprehensive build structure leading to
easier use of Rcpp from other packages, and support for Windows, Linux and
Mac OS X (with special thanks to Simon for some extended cluebat waving).
More information for Rcpp can be found at

I probably need a hit with the cluebat here... could someone give me
step-by-step instructions or is it a bad idea to use those rpms in the
first place or...?
Thanks and happy new year!

XMLRPC WebService and Structs
Hi
First off, I apologise if this is covered somewhere and I just don''t
get it... I''ve looked far and wide ....
As a part of my current project I need to hook up to a particular
XMLRPC webservice that won''t be available for me to use until close
to launch date... So I am trying to recreate the webservice that
mirrors the live one so I can test my application

java-1.4.2-gcj-compat.i386 update failure
.... It
was from the official java site. I don't know if this is related.
Here's what I know. Well, I think I know this.
/usr/bin/rebuild-security-providers seems to be missing from
jpackage-utils.noarch.
As I am frequently in error, I presume that I may have something
scrogged here. If so, cluebats cheerfully fielded.
If not, any help or ideas also gratefully accepted.

Viewing Rails from non-localhost using WEBrick server
During development, I''d like to see my Rails app from a computer other

SMTP external forward
I read several posts about SMTP being blocked at ISP.
My ISP has the same limitation.
My ADSL connection (1 fixed IP) only permits outbound connection to port 25
to their server.
None of those posts answered my need. I tried FAQ also.
I have several internal email clients/bots that needs to retrieve/send
messages, some of then are notebooks.
It''s not fair to change SMTP server to the

MP3 to OGG conversion
I've done a little searching of the mailing lists before posting this
and found a few threads on converting from mp3 to ogg but no one that
I've seen ever answers the question.
a .wav file is a digital format is it not? I'm no video/audio guru by
any stretch so if I'm wrong on that point please correct me. But for
this message I'm going to assume .wav is a digital format. .mp3

[PATCH 1/1] xen/netback: correctly calculate required slots of skb.
When counting required slots for skb, netback directly uses DIV_ROUND_UP to get
slots required by header data. This is wrong when offset in the page of header
data is not zero, and is also inconsistent with following calculation for
required slot in netbk_gop_skb.
In netbk_gop_skb, required slots are calculated based on offset and len in page
of header data. It is possible that required slots

I quit.
It is with regret that I announce that Shorewall development and support is
officially ended.
Sean''s post has finally driven it home to me that in the long term, trying
to support a project like Shorewall is impossible for a person of my
personality and age.
Sean -- please believe that this isn''t about you or your post -- your post
was just the proverbial straw on this old
