preferred XEN dom0 OS
Hi,
What is the preferred OS to use with XEN, as the dom0 host?
We primarely us CentOS (currently 5.6) but it seems that the native
XEN that comes with CentOS is a bit behind.
What is the preferred OS to run on the dom0''s?

Really bad KVM disk performance
...Virtualizor as the
front-end for KVM.
I was so impressed with how fasts the guests ran that I want to build a few of
these machines for myself. I just installed one: same Q9550 processor, 4GB
ram, and dual 250GB SATA HDs (with 32mb cache). I installed Centos 6.2 X64,
and installed Webmin's Cloudmin as the front-end.
Immediately when I was installing stuff, I could tell this new system I just
built was not nearly as fast as the first one. I ran some CPU and disk
benchmarking programs, and saw that while the CPU stuff tested similarly, the
disk thruput was much different... Down-right poor in...

Restrict Disk Usage
Hi Everyone,
Is there any way to restrict Disk usages per DomU? It would be to stop customers from hogging all the available disk time and slow everyone else down.
Apperently, Cloudmin can do this, but that costs money...
Any ideas would be appreciated
Thanks

Cloud Computing
Is anyone creating a cloud based on Centos yet?
Ubuntu seems to be quite active there:

Any experience with Eucalyptus on Centos 5.x?
Is anyone here running Eucalyptus (open source cloud computing
manager, similar to Amazon EC2, from UC Santa Barbara)?
Have you got any hints for bringing it up?
Thanks!

XEN large scale cluster
Dear All,
We are preparing amount 400 servers to deploy a large scale XEN cluster; I
am looking for the best solution for that, these are some things I need to
resolve:
1) 400 servers use raid-1, each server will have more than 100GB free
disk space, I want to combine all of these for the cluster''s storage, so, it
need to install the distribute file system;
2) How to

Alternative to cPanel
Dear All,
Im looking for alternative for cPanel and somehow I read that the 'cwp
control web panel' (http://centos-webpanel.com) and Sentora (
http://www.sentora.ga) is the good alternative for cPanel.
Is there someone using this application and what can you tell about or
recommend.
Thank you all.
