[libguestfs PATCH] lib: remove guestfs_int_cmd_clear_close_files()
The last (only?) caller of guestfs_int_cmd_clear_close_files() disappeared in commit e4c396888056 ("lib/info: Remove /dev/fd hacking and pass a true filename to qemu-img info.", 2018-01-23), part of v1.37.36. Simplify the code by removing guestfs_int_cmd_clear_close_files(). Signed-off-by: Laszlo Ersek <lersek at redhat.com> --- lib/guestf...

ADS mode with ReiserFS freezes Server
Hello, after an update from Samba 2.2.12 to 3.0.22 and running the daemons 2-3 days my Samba Server freeze the whole Server. First the clients get connection problems, timing out to access the shares and then some minutes later the whole Server freeze, i can't even logon on the console. Only a cold reset is possible. I convert all files from latin-1 to a UTF-8 and then from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1

Signal 11 in Samba adding Windows XP printer driver
Hi All, I have a Samba server on a system, running and i386 Centos 5.1, version samba-3.0.25b-1.el5_1.4. The server is working well, as can share files etc with any issues. However when I try to add a windows XP printer driver, I get a Signal 11 error, and the drivers don't install, and windows gives an error messages, saying that the operation could not be completed. The files are actually

frequent core dumps (invalid lock_order?)
Hi, I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction. My samba version is samba-4.2.10-6.2.el7_2.x86_64. I have lots of daily core dumps (~20 on each machine daily) and I have no clear idea why. I'm including the stack trace below. It looks like the problem is related to "invalid lock_order". Any ideas? Thanks, Sergei #0 0x00007fc5a34945f7 in raise () from

[LLVMdev] [lld] ELF weak aliases
How are you modeling weak aliases in Atoms? mach-o does not support weak aliases. My mental model of a weak alias is: If foo is a weak alias for bar, then if nothing else defines bar, use foo in place of bar. -Nick On Jan 8, 2013, at 4:50 PM, Michael Spencer wrote: > So I just got lua to link and run and work on x86-64 Linux with musl > and lld. [LLVMdev] [lld] ELF weak aliases
So I just got lua to link and run and work on x86-64 Linux with musl and lld. It did require one change to hack around incorrect handling of ELF weak aliases. In musl __stdio_exit.c <http://git.musl-libc.org/cgit/musl/tree/src/stdio/__stdio_exit.c> we have: static FILE *const dummy_file = 0; weak_alias(dummy_file, __stdin_used); weak_alias(dummy_file, __stdout_used); weak_alias(dummy_file,

Difference between samba 2.0.0beta4 and NT4.0 ?
Hi Samba-gurus, I have a problem with samba 2.0.0beta4 on solaris 2.5.1 (samba 1.9.18p10 behaves the same) : 1. I have a ordinary text-file on a samba-share (foo.txt). NT4.0 sees the samba-share (\\sun100\tmp) as a netdrive with the letter K:. I've done a 'net use k: \\sun100\tmp'. 2. I can doubleclick in NT4.0-explorer on foo.txt and notepad comes up correctly. 3. [PATCH] Add filesystem UUID to SYSAPPEND for FAT
Filesystem UUID shows the partition we boot kernel from. The kernel parameter has format like FSUUID=DA1A-0B2E. The SYSAPPEND bit is 0x40000. Now the FAT only supports FSUUID. The patch is based on 67aaaeeb228. Signed-off-by: Serj Kalichev <serj.kalichev at gmail.com> --- com32/include/syslinux/sysappend.h | 1 + core/fs/btrfs/btrfs.c | 3 ++- core/fs/ext2/ext2.c

Problem installing Printer-Drivers (solved)
This is just a information in case somebody runs into the same issue: I was unable to upload drivers to a samba-server (3.0.28a and 3.0.29) via the windows add printer wizard. The driver files started uploading, then processing stopped saying the driver is not compatible to windows xp. In the logs the following message popped up. However some files could be copied: [2008/05/27 10:30:09, 0]

Troubles with Mac clients
Hello. At a customer's site I had: _ Windows 2008 DC; _ Samba 4.8 fileserver on FreeBSD 11.3/amd64 on UFS; _ several Windows and Mac clients. Recently, having to move to Samba 4.10, I decided to bring up a new fileserver in a jail (and let the base 4.8 one die after transferring all shares). I have no problems with Windows clients, but several strange things are happening with Macs.

Printers now don't work - what can I check?
My Samba-shared printers (v2.0.3) printers worked great until I updated several software packages last weekend. These printers are networked and can still be used by running lpr from the command line of my Linux (RedHat v5.2, kernel 2.2.5) server. Print jobs sent from the client machines (OS/2 and Win98) are not printed. A job sent from a client machine is apparently just lost. Nothing
