3.0.23b domain member not accessible
I portupgraded my samba domain server and domain member to 3.0.23b from
3.0.23 and found that the domain member was not accessible from
workstations. The error message:
\\HOSTNAME is not accessible.
There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.
In the log.winbindd of the domain member, I found:

Group Permission issue via winbindd?

'wbinfo -g' reports information correctly. 'id DSP-John' appears to provide
domain user information for that user including group membership.
/var/log/messages reports the following error:

There is some information related to handling groups in the Release Notes
for Samba 3.0.23. Am I being affected by that?

Another getent problem
...b64/nss/libnss_winbind.so
/usr/lib64/nss/libnss_winbind.so.2
when running ldconfig
/lib64/libnss_winbind.so.2
is pulled.
Tried deleting the cache files
winbindd_cache.tdb
winbindd_idmap.tdb
and restarting smb and winbind
The only error I'm finding is
